That's... odd. Is this breaking a dependency? In theory, warnings shouldn't block builds for dependencies. However, things are significantly changed on master from 0.3.0, in particular the referenced types don't exist anymore.

hmm we've got an early stage alternative build system to cargo.

Our fractalide/fractal_ui_js application has bytes as a transdep somewhere, I think its ws.

Maybe it's that #![deny(warnings)] which is turning warnings into errors?

I would suggest that you disable deny warnings at the rustc CLI level for dependencies, this is what cargo does.
