Linked Objects Geometry

When exporting a linked object, the objects transformation gets properly exported, but is missing geometry for some reason.

Release 1.1.2.0

The initial release of the "Inofficial Blender OpenGEX Exporter Addon" is imminent. Last things I want to get into this release:

  • Bring back vertex color support
  • Handle downward-facing camera issue
  • Stabilize PhysicsMaterial extension
  • Support Export of Cycles Materials (#5) (moved to next release)
  • Use PyDDL ( #7 )
  • Fix travis builds
  • Release

Remove src/

The src/ folder makes releases rather inconvenient.
Optimally, one should be able to clone this repository into blenders scripts/addons/ folder, which would result in renaming the repository to io_scene_ogex and having all the source files directly in the root dir. Some more thought will go into that though.

Light Export is Broken

Exporting more than one light results in properties being duplicated into other LightObject structures.

Support Export of Cycles Materials

As I do not want the "Inofficial OpenGEX Exporter" for Blender to be on of those "stupid IO scripts" (twitter discussion), this will be done before the first release of this Blender Addon.

Avoid exporting the same image multiple times

Under certain circumstances one and the image is exported more than once.

Possible causes:

  • Image referenced multiple times through different textures
  • Same texture but referenced through multiple linked objects in different .blends.

Next Release: 1.1.2.1

The next release will include bug fixes and minor features (like enhancements for the existing extensions).

UV Maps export

Unused UV Maps seem to be exported for meshes. Only active UV Maps should be used to export TextureCoordinates.
