Ah, thanks, that's a lot better! Thanks!
It's still doing something in the background. Without any browser windows open to LMS and without anything streaming to it, all with that new command you suggested, it's regularly in the top 5 'idle wakeups' on my Mac.

I think you will find that LMS and clients are in frequent communication - even when nothing is playing.
Try wireshark to see if that activity matches what you see as wake ups.

They usually don't.
My Squeezelite is sitting at 0 CPU when doing nothing, Sometrhing similar
to what you describe could happen if the connection is lost when player is
playing and server could not be reached in the same way , after a clean
restart and 'normal' stop, everithyng calm down.
