Is for the group SPORTS & HEALTH, and it means that is a point where 
people waits to all the people before to continue a trip...

One could pretty easy argue that Pool (Billiards) and Bowling should be
moved from the Culture & Entertainment to the Health & Sports category
since they are Sports, just like Golf, Skiing and Cycling, right?

A small cosmetic issue, you have the same Jib icon twice in the
Administration & Offices category

Have a suggestion for new icons ?

I would like an icon with a freshwater turtle on it.
I am creating a map with the location of sites where freshwater turtles
have been sited in the wild.

Busy day for me! ;-) Created a new icon for Lighthouses.  This one is a
fairly standardized symbol so I haven't changes anything, more or less.

What do you think? Something you can use?

Hello, 

Really good placemark icons you've got so far! I was wondering if you'd
considered directional markers? Markers that point in the direction of
something (direction to follow, direction picture was taken etc). The ones
google provide aren't very good!

Please create icons, which has 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ....etc. These are very very
helpful. Suppose I make a map of various house listings and I put the house
icons on all, I cannot compare in a printout. Number ICONS will be very
helpful.

My requests for new icons:

Church
Ice cream shop

Stoplight -- On maps it would be useful to have a stoplight icon.
Frequently, directions are given such as "turn at the next street after the
second stoplight".

Yes, here they are:

Icons related to tourism:
-------------------------

1) fortress (not necessarily the same as a castle: castle is medieval,
fortress is more recent...)
2) palace (again, not the same as a castle: not fortified...)

Icons showing traffic signs:
----------------------------

e.g stop sign, major road, directions, speed limits, etc.

Culture:
--------

Library

That's all, I can think of now. (I wonder wether there will be any one of
those you have not heard already, but anyway...)

I know, I spend to much time on this project...  ;-)

Don't you think that it would make a lot more sense if the Hiking, Horse
Riding and Fishing icons all where in the Health & Sports category instead
of in the Tourism & Nature one?

Two suggestions for this very, very hard icon to make easy to understand...
 Who wanted this and for what?

I'm happy about the idea for a Aquarium (Public) but not with how I made
it... Perhaps you can do something with this one, you are so much better
than me at doing icons, especially with animals and people in them.

great job nico!!! much better than having a "key" as to what each colour 
icon means. any chance of some "slimline" icons.....im trying to get used 
to these ones but they are rather fat, especially when there are 100 or so 
icons in a 4 square mile area. new icons....wifi and poker icons would be 
useful...thanks

I love your icons/markers very much and have downloaded some of them
incline to add to my customized Google map. However, Google asked me to
enter an URL when i did so.

I don't know how to do that ? Can you please teach me ? Or can i directly
use my downloaded png files in my local machine ?

Hi!

I see the new regrouping icon and i think that the arrows have a head very 
close.

Can be more wide?

Another question: can be in the sports group too? (for regrouping on 
cycling routes, etc...)

Two suggestion for a Canoe icon, hope you like at least one of them? ;-)  

As you can see I think Canoe should be in the Health & Sports category and
not in the Tourism & Nature one.

How about adding a semi-transparent grey shadow to the icon, much like the
original Google Map pin?

Pizza icon did the job perfectly for me! Would love to see one for Chinese 
restaurant - perhaps bowl and chopsticks?

Hey Matthias, hope you can see this issue.

You created the aquarium in Culture, but the Zoo is in Tourism.
Shouldn't they be together in the same category, say Culture ?

Hi Nico

I think the current icons are really excellent - we are thinking of a new
map based site and I hope we get to use them.  The only additional ones
that might be useful are icons for football (soccer), football (rugby -
different shaped ball :) ) and a party icons (balloons).

This is for group icons like that:

- First category hill. (A 1 inside a circle...)
- Second category hill. (A 2 inside a circle...)
- Thirth category hill. (A 3 inside a circle...)
- Sprint point. (A S inside a circle...)
- etc...

like you can see in any profile of a byke race like Tour de France:

Hi Nico,

Here are some new icons for you to use if you want.  One is a Modern
Monument icon (as opposed to the Historical Monument you already have from
me). The other is a Statue icon.

need some more icons to identify different touristic objects. Examples
could be:

- Castles
- Fortress
- Towers (like old watch towers)
- City walls
- Bridges
- Architecturally interesting buildings
- Museums
- Archeological dig site
- Interesting view
- Monuments
- Statues
- Fountains
- Windmill
- Marina
- Caves
- Cloister
- Shopping Center
Well, as you can see I have many ideas...

One question, what do you think is the best approach, should I link to your
original pictures or put them all on my server?

Pool is only one of many types of Billiards...  Also there is no risk then
to confuse Pool with Pool as in Swimming Pool.

Billiards: Cue sports in general, including pool, carom billiards, snooker,
etc.

Created 3 different icons for Cemetery (graveyard)

Cemetery1.png is the one I prefer
Cemetery2.png is a more graphic one
Cemetery3.png is the most boring one ;-)

Hi, I think these icons are great. 

I would like to suggest an icon for Indian food (similar to the Chinese
Food icon) as it is very popular here in the UK. I imagine it's probably
quite popular in India too!

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Thought a pizza icon would be useful so one could instantly see what kind of 
food is the specialty 
at a given location...

can i have a [ postman ] icon , please.

I know there is already a Zoo icon, but this paw symbol is another quite
common one more standardized then the 1000 different iterations of the
elephant. Maybe you can have both?  Do like you want, I'll use this one on
my maps.

With the same reasoning you used for Toilets, Disability should be in the
Miscellaneous category.

It will most likely be used to show where you have toilets, parking lots
and accesses for handicapped persons. It has nothing to do with Health,
it's not to show "how to get handicapped", right? ;-)

On top of this I think the symbol is a little to big in the icon. Compare
the size of the person in the wheel chair to the Hiker or the Pool Table
Guy...  Think the wheel should be a little thicker as well...  Also I think
I think to much... ;-)

What about days of the week? Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.

Hi Nico,

If you could enter the Tool tips with the file name for all the 112 icons.
That would make it a lot easier to find the file name for an icon and a lot
quicker than having to go into Properties.  Perhaps even link to the icon
so that it opens in a new window/tab?
