This distribution is comprised of three repositories that use signal processing on the sphere and the group of rotations to compute affine-invariant shape descriptors, align models, and compute the reflective and rotational symmetries of a shape.
The efficiency of the code is based on the fast signal processing code SpharmonicKit and SOFT which are included in the distribution.
I calculated the descriptor of the mesh as follows by ShapeSymmetry.exe.
But the 5-fold symmetric descriptor I got is strange. Here is the visualization of the 5-fold descriptors. And the k-fold( k = 3、4、5、6) symmetric descriptor look the same.
Here is the visualization of the 2-fold descriptors.
What's more, the peak in the descriptor could not correspond to axes of near 5-fold rotational symmetry.
Do you know what the reason might be?
After getting the values of the descriptor,how can I get the visualization of the Symmetry Descriptors as Figure 1 shown in the paper?
Is there an implementation of this function in this repo?
