Zerg rush

An easy way to fix the bed near altar problem would be to have the knife not be able to kill. This is a really easy fix, not problematic for the ones not doing it on purpose and stopping any further balance-breaking.

Imperfect rituals can be activated by fakeplayers

In blood magic v1.1.0 on forge 1199 imperfect rituals can be activated by fake players such as TC4 autonomous activators (and I assume for prior versions of blood magic also), this allows them to be ran for no cost. This potentially allows players to have infinite rain/darkness/zombies for free.

Craftguide Support

blood magic supports nei showing all blood magic crafting recipes. It would help very much since my minecraft keeps crashing with nei. I use craftguide instead, but it does not show any recipes for blood magic.

Odd crop behavior with sigil of the green grove

When I have an active sigil of the green grove, and crops are growing very rapidly, sometimes the crops aren't as grown as they seem. Right clicking on them with empty hand or other non-tool will sometimes revert a crops growth one or more stages.

To test in a new world I got a creative orb, green grove sigil, and a wheat farm. Activate the sigil, and hold right click with empty hand and mouse over all the crops as they grow. Mostly crops which are growing faster then others will revert more often, and after a while they all stop reverting as the "real" growth progress is done.

Tested with 1.1.1 beta 4, forge 1194, and have experienced this behavior in 1.1.0. And not just wheat but most crops as well. Including melons and pumpkins, where the melon and pumpkin blocks themselves will sometimes disappear.

Crash on using Lava Crystal in v1.0.1.e

no problem binding to my network but once the furnace tried to use the crystal, the game crashed. Repeated several times, as soon as the crystal tries to draw on the LP network the game crashes. not sure if it makes a difference but I was using a slab furnace.

Stacked items inside Blood Altar + baby zombie

When i tried to use Thermal Expansion ducts to transfer stone into the blood altar it placed inside 17 stone and wasted half of the LP inside because it was runing and not making anything. I didn't wait for it to finish making because it was probably not gonna. When i tried to kill a baby zombie with the dagger of sacrafice it didn't one shot it even tho it was directly on top of the altar im playing agrarian skies.

Nothing seems to work

I tried using BM:AW v 1.1.0(1.7.10) and BM:AW v 1.1.1Beta7 Forge 1205 on my server and the sacrificial dagger/orbs nothing seems to save life essence I see it visually go into altar and take damage but divination sigil shows 0LP
orbs all right click bind to me but does not increase in LP only damage

please fix this it bothers me soo much

Book for Blood Magic

I think there should be a book that tells you everything to know about blood magic like how craft certain items in the blood altar or what different rituals do. I hope to have a blood magic book like the lexica botania from the Botania mod. I think this book should be made by placing a book in at least a tier 1 blood altar

Feature request-Ritual to block flight.

Today I saw a very interesting topic, requesting for methods to stop players from flying in a certain area, however.. the options were far and few, and didn't exactly tackle the problem directly... And this could actually be something extremely handy for players wanting some restrictions in certain area's.

I figured, "Hey Blood magics got a ritual for flight, maybe Way could come up with something to negate flight in a certain range!" A ritual that draws them to the earth, and weighs them down, Rendering most methods of flight helpless.. Being able to set a certain area a "No fly zone" would be incredibly useful, and unique.

Possible fix for rituals "Full spring" and "Serenade of the nether"

"Full spring" and "Serenade of the nether" both have a problem of the blocks not flowing when created, and I may have found an answer. In the code, it looks like you are doing the equivalent of "/setblock X Y Z minecraft:water" and "/setblock X Y Z minecraft:lava" command. As it turns out, to have it start flowing it needs to be "/setblock X Y Z minecraft:flowing_water" and "/setblock X Y Z minecraft:flowing_lava". If your code works like my commands, this should in theory fix the little bug that has, well, been bugging me.

Ritual of The Ballad of Alchemy stacks items with different NBT data

When creating things with the Ritual of The Ballad of Alchemy, The ritual will move items from an input chest to the alchemy set without respecting the NBT data on the items. For example, when creating alchemy items and the alchemy set has one of each required item, adding an item of the same type and one in the alchemy set, but with different NBT data(named), it ignores the NBT data and stacks the named item with the normal item. (used version 1.0.0g with forge 1.7.2-10.12.2.1124)

Can you make so all blood orb recipes based on ore Dictionary? So in recipes nei would work and you can craft everything with just one orb like =>

and in recipes like lava Crystal using t1BloodOrb ore dictionary instead of weak Blood Orb itself. So it can be crafted with any Blood Orb higher or equal than t1 (Weak)

Blood altar possible de-sync

When crafting something in a blood altar, and quitting then re- joining the world, some progress will be reverted(Not like it ran out of LP, closer to "The progress never happened"). The progress lost can be several seconds worth, and while it seems no LP is lost due to this it might be worth trying to fix.

Tested using BM V1.1.0 in MC 1.7.2

rotten flesh crash bug

I accidentally right click a lower earth guardian with rotten flesh and it immediately crashed my game. Tested with several other demons but only seems to happen with lower earth guardian. I'm guessing the cause is the guardian using the wolf AI so it accepts rotten flesh but can't possess it?

Feature suggestion

As an homage to Ako you could implement the sigil of the "bloody booze", which would give you a "wasted" (nausea) effect followed by an hangover (slowness) effect :P
And it could evolve in a spell type. Just a random thought, feel free to archive this issue :D

Infinite Altar LP bug

As the title states, there is a bug with the 1.6 version of BM which allows infinite LP in the altar. Not quite sure what causes this but here are the steps to recreate it.

  1. Place Blood Altar
  2. Connect Fluiduct to Blood Altar
  3. Place Extra Utilities Drum with a buckets worth of Life Essence in it, below the Fluiduct
  4. Set Fluiduct to extract from the Drum
  5. After the Life Essence from the Drum gets transferred into the Altar the LP in the altar still goes up by 20 LP per tick

If you place ANY stackable item in the middle slot of the Alchemic set and Shift Click it, double of the same item will be placed on the top slot up to a full stack!

Cooldown after death for sacrificing health.

A few people I'm playing with are currently putting a bed near their blood altar and purposely killing themselves repeatedly to fill their blood altar. This doesn't seem intended and is a rather big exploit in my opinion. My suggestion is adding some sort of cooldown after a death that you can't sacrifice hearts.

Another suggestion was to make people that die by sacrificing themselves spawn with 1 heart.

OpenComputers robot bound tool exploit

When a bound tool is used by a robot and there is not enough energy in the network of the bound player, the effect of the tool will be triggered anyway, and since the robot can't die (being a block) there is no disadvantage to it using the tool.

The tool should probably cancel the effect if there is no energy for it.

Sigil of suppression/dome of suppression exceptions

2 issues here, though may be related

  1. When moving around under the ocean (or lava in the nether), the server console is spammed with the following exception:

  2. It is possible to activate the dome of suppression ritual twice, which destroys the placeholder air blocks (and causes A LOT of the exceptions in the paste above). De-activating the ritual leaves a cylindrical hole in the ocean (if the dome extended above the surface of the ocean.

Can't regen hunger or health with blood magic

While doing Blood Magic i stopped regenerating health and hunger. I can eat till i am full but if i take even one damage i reset back to a certain hunger level. I have tried having my player data deleted and it is now happening again. both times its been while using my the sacrificial knife. I cant gain status effects either. Its like my character is stuck in a loop. We have tried re-logging and restarting the server. nothing works to fix it. My buddies on the server did their blood magic with no problems. So its has to be in this last update or something since they didn't have this problem. I am currently stuck at Zero hunger and constantly die of starvation. resetting player data helps until I start blood magic again. i also reported this on Bevos Tech Pack becuase i thought i might have something to do with his configs or something.

Ritual of the crusher convertion bug

Description: The ritual of the crusher dislikes ores that have meta-data. When it tries to add an item to the inventory, it will first try to add it to any old stack. If there is an item of the same ID, but different meta-data, it will add it to the stack already in the chest despite the fact that they should give a different item. This was tested with thaumcraft infused stone for reference.

Blood alter not infusing multiple items

I'm playing on the latest version of TPPI, multiplayer, mod version 1.0.1e

Using a vanilla hopper to insert any quantity of items does not start the infusion process. Tested with a Buildcraft hopper, Transfer node & Item ducts. All of those work. placing items normally one at a time works.

Used a vanilla hopper to insert one stone. Does not start infusion process. causing a block update and the infusion process starts. temporary work around has been to place a clock from ExtraUtilities next to the alter to force block updates.

No logs as it does not crash.

you set damage of new item to itself. it might be bug or intentional i dont know really but I just wanted ask.

Bug Ritual Diviner/Ritual Stone

Game crashes when you click a ritual stone with a ritual diviner, when no ritual is selected (using the beta you tweeted)

[Enhancement] Localize chat messages

Currently, only block/item names as well as the Blood Altar NEI entry are localized. There are still many strings not localized, especially the chat messages in this mod.

Galacticraft-Blood Magic compatibility seems broken.

Hey there.
It seems like Galacticraft isnt compatible with Blood Magic.
I found some old threads where it sounds like it should be fixed.
But with the latest version of both mods it seems broken again.
The Blood Altar just stays empty instead of filling.
Any chance to get that fixed in the future?
I would like to use both mods.

Bug: Sanguine helm effect in bound armor

Minecraft: 1.6.4

Forge version:9.11.1.953

Blood magic version: 1.0.1d

Description: It seems the helm in bound armor uses a shard power(We really don't have a name for it... It uses a blood shard slot, ok?) in armor, but will function without it.

To duplicate: Create a bound helm with only a sanguine helm in a socket(No orbs, no shards). You should still be able to see aura nodes despite the lack of blood shard.
