Slider tune/mazda-master

Describe the bug

Hey all,

I am unable to get the 9.2 silver tune to work for my Mazda 2023 sedan. It says that the controls are not recognizable when I download it. Also, the mazda-master branch always fails to download. Any thoughts and advice?

Mazd master not working

Describe the bug

Every time I install the Mazda master fork it give me the error on start that this car is not supported and will only function in dash am mode. I did the system reset and install as instructed with the YouTube video but no luck on detecting the vechicle. Does anybody have any recommendations or do I need to fingerprint for each new fork?

Support for 2017 Mazda 3 with no MRCC

Describe the bug

I'm hoping to get OpenPilot working on a 2017 Mazda3 with no MRCC. I've enabled stock lane keeping through FORScan and installed an original torque interceptor. I've confirmed the stock lane keeping does function.

I'm currently testing with a Mr. One Comma 2 clone.

Attempting to install newcan13 or dp-ti-8.13 leads to an error while flashing the panda.

By using the c2-nomrcc branch or by implementing its changes into newcan13, I am able to sucessfully install OP and flash the panda. However, after turning on the ignition, I immediately get a "CAN Error: Check Connections" message. This is what is shown in tmux:

Since I'm unable to use comma connect, I will attach logs collected from the device while running this fork which implements c2-nomrcc's changes into newcan13

Randomly will not resume from stop cleanly

Describe the bug

There are two issues I've experienced. Both while OP is engaged.

Issue 1 (more severe one, but no logs yet. Will provide logs when issue happens again.):

  • Come to a complete stop with lead vehicle
  • Lead vehicle departs
  • Observe FrogPilot press gas slightly, then slam on brakes
  • From this point, FrogPilot will not resume and you must completely disengage FrogPilot by pressing the brake. At this point the car will move again. If you press the accelerator without pressing the brake first, the car will stay still but the engine will rev.

Issue 2 (logs provided):

  • Come to a complete stop with lead vehicle
  • Lead vehicle departs
  • Observe FrogPilot press gas slightly, then brake to a stop (didn't feel like a slam)
  • From this point, FrogPilot will not resume and you must press the accelerator to resume movement

Control mismatch when "disengage on accelerator press" is disabled

Describe the bug

When I try to start driving with "disengage on accelerator press" disabled, I receive a control mismatch error. Enabling the feature, powering the car off and on, and then starting a drive again will work.

Lateral control not possible with ti

After adding TI to the original LKAS, there is no way to control the lateral direction. The original LKAS also fails

I used the OP again today, using the 9.0 branch

  1. Install ti without installing op, the original lkas can work normally
  2. Install ti and op, the original lkas cannot be used
    Driver monitoring on op does not work
