I did look at some instances of invalid messages, although I did not save them. One in particular looked like a normal message except "shifted" by the insertion of an extra bit somewhere. None of them had an obviously "broken" bit pattern such as all zeros.

I understand the policy. This wouldn't normally cause any problems anyway, unless one has many such sensors and one of the rogue transmissions "impersonates" one of the valid sensors.

Can you record some data codes for the broken transmissions? Verbose mode for the inFactory decoder is -R 91:v
If the bit pattern is obviously wrong, e.g. all zeros, then we can add a check. Otherwise we don't really filter and post-process received transmissions -- the data was on-the-air and might mean something to someone, maybe a failing sensor or such.
