@MajuSadagopan most of the documentation is in the readme - plus a few links (like source configuration). Please file a new issue if you need some help, or better yet - put it on gis.stackexchange.com and poke us, and someone could try to help.

on one hand I agree, but the reality of nodejs is that you have to list all required libraries in the package.json - otherwise you will have to do all sorts of npm install by hand. Kartotherian project is really just a tiny shell to load all components and run them - it has almost no code of its own. Any suggestions are welcome.

I've started on the documentation.
The standard way and best practices would be to install Kartotherian, and have chef/puppet/etc install the style and config files, and launch Kartotherian pointing at the config files.

sorry if this seems obvious but is there any documentation on using kartotherian/tilerator with vanilla PostGIS (no OSM imports)

Following up on this somewhat stale thread -- the plan is to make it easier to run inside docker, building a main kartotherian-base
docker image, plus another image based on it that installs any usage-specific plugins.
