talkermakerdeluxe's Issues

Hi! Does this have native ChatMapper import/export?

Hi! I'm working on a project that requires me to use ChatMapper and the interface in CM gives me migraines. I'm looking around for an alternative, and I stumbled on TalkerMaker! Is there any way to get TalkerMaker files into/out of ChatMapper easily?

Thanks!

Lines sometimes don't draw on initially loaded conversation

If the conversation tab isn't selected, the lines don't draw when loading a file. This is likely to do with the tab not being loaded visually so it doesn't know where to draw.

Can be easily fixed by just adding a DrawExtraConnectors() call to an Selected event for the conversations tab.

TalkerMaker crashes when I click the file menu

Very strange problem here. As far as I can tell everything works except the file menu. If I click that it immediately brings up the windows program has stopped working dialog box.

I'm running Windows 10 creator update.

Does Maker run in Linux?

I couldn't find a related website to this project so I hope you don't mind me posting in the issue section.

Firstly, thank you for your contribution. This is exactly what I was looking for and so far seems to be a solid little program. I'll take the time to try this out and see if I can find any bugs.

Does TalkerMaker run in Linux? I noticed that the program is written in c#, if so have you tried it in Mono? I'm not particular experienced but I can see if I can work it out.

Linux support?

I am not currently on a windows machine, but your editor looks like a great visual editor for what I need to do. I was wondering if there was a way that you could compile it as a linux bin/run/appimage or some format that I can use? Personally I am on Fedora so it uses rpm files but an appimage is more universal across distros. Thanks.

Script Indicator Icon Doesn't Show on Edit After Load

When loading a conversation and then editing the Script field, the icon does not turn on. It turns on properly for new projects and for nodes with existing scripts at load time.

No fucking idea what the core problem is.

Usage

How do I download and use this?

Suggestions

EASY:
1.Delete characters
I believe this is an oversight - you can't delete character even if it doesn't have any dialogue nodes.

2.Draw a line between linked nodes
As a graphical representation, it would be nice if a linked node had a line connecting with the second one (just like subnodes do).

3.Subnodes with multiple parents
One big missing feature is no ability to add a one subnode for multiple parent nodes. It could work as a 'reverse tree' and therefor save user from having multiple copies of the same child dialogue lines.

HARD:
4. Custom export
Talker Maker is a great alternative to Chat Mapper, and it would be nice if it supported custom exporting - not only to Unity-based systems. Since all fields in the conversations have their generic names, user could easily specify his own exporting pattern. For example, it would be possible to turn off Menu Text or Sequence if they aren't being used. As a more time-consuming feature, maybe it would be possible to expand it to define very own exporting format, allowing user to drop json or xml in favor of their own needs.
