It also probably does not relate to graphics, since it worked before, and this bug just kind of started happening out of the blue.
Arch Linux users like to live on the edge... of a catastrophe. Sorry for the sarcarm, but couldn't resist :)
I've kindly asked users to report it to the maintainers of the Nyxt package. See #2969 (comment).
There are official and reliable ways to fetch Nyxt, curated by the team. Please see https://github.com/atlas-engineer/nyxt/releases.
Besides the Flatpak, Nyxt is also properly packaged for Guix. You can install Guix as a package manager on top of your Arch Linux system. Let me know if you need help. Thanks.

Ok, so I reinstalled using flatpak, and now that problem is gone.
however, there is another problem.
When I open nyxt, it gives me this error:
(WebKitWebProcess:2): Gtk-WARNING **: 22:50:32.046: cannot open display:
there is nothing after the colons btw, otherwise i would've put it in here.

Can you share the output of env?
Also, try to start it via flatpak run --env=DISPLAY=:0 engineer.atlas.Nyxt.
