Welcome to Kodi Home Theater Software!

Kodi is an award-winning free and open source software media player and entertainment hub for digital media. Available as a native application for Android, Linux, BSD, macOS, iOS, tvOS and Windows operating systems, Kodi runs on most common processor architectures.

7.1.4 to be precise but as Kodi does not allow the setup of Hight Speakers the .4 are irrelevant. Kodi is set to a 5.1 Speaker Layout (Kodi Player is not used for Movies. therefore Layout is sat to 5.1 for best match to the Layout for Multichannel SACD Playback), Passthrough is enabled. Connetcion to the AVR is through HDMI. All Speakers are Full Range.

Addon is set to Multichannel wich works in general but i realized that the surround channels are played incorrectly on RL and RR instead of L and R.
When checking the signal Type received by the AVR this shows 7.1 PCM. This is strange because like mentioned Kodi is only set to 5.1, not 7.1.
How can i arrange the Surround channels are played correctly on L and R?

Doesn't seem to work with network path

I've installed the add-on and mounted a share to my ISOs via smb. No files are shown,though,and nothing is scraped into the library.

I'm using the addon on a Nvidia Shield Pro 2020 with Kodi Matrix and I am not getting any sound on the surround speakers in Kodi. All the files play, but just in stereo.

Plugin causes files within movie .iso images to be scanned into library

For users who have movie .iso images, with this plugin enabled, when using 'update Library' for Movies, multiple instances of files within movie .iso images such as CERTIFICATE\id.bdmv are added to the Movie library as bogus titles such as 'Kung Fu Hustle'. These have a udf://../../.. prefix and will be removed when cleaning the library.

Further, movie .iso images that do not have an entry in the themoviedb.org database but do have a local .nfo are not added to the library.

Disabling the plugin 'fixes' both these problems.

Might it be possible to have an option to link/assign the plugin to only 'see' .iso files in certain folders and/or ignore one or more folders (ex where movie .iso images are located)?

See other reports here including ones suggesting it also picks up .id extensions (eg bdmv.id)

Stuttering multichannel audio output

Hello,

Playback in stereo works fine. Thanks for the great work!

But when I play a multichannel title, the audio output stutters. Are there any minimum hardware requirements for the plugin?

I use a matrix nightly build (20210522-d173893 RPi2.arm) on my raspberry pi 3. A Pioneer lx86 is connected via HDMI.

Multichannel FLAC, movies and so on work perfectly. Stereo SACD iso files will work too. Only the multi-channel titles of all SACDs stutter.

I tested various settings in the audio section (5.1, 5.0, 7.1, optimized, fix, best match, alsa output devices vc4-hdmi, passthrough on or off). Also tried local and files from a NFS share.

Mit installiertem & aktivierten audiodecoder.sacd lassen sich keine video.iso mehr abspielen

Hallo,

@AlwinEsch: Sollte ich meine Fehlermeldung hier in falschem Format oder unvollständig gepostet haben, so bitte ich um Entschuldigung, ist selten das ich mich auf GitHub herumtreibe.

Ich hab das gleiche Problem wie in Ticket 11 & 14 beschrieben. Das installierte Addon versucht auch die anderen (NICHT SACD-ISO´s) ISO´s (Video) zu öffnen, sollte aber explizit nur die SACD ISO´s öffnen. Video & SACD ISO´s sind nicht gemischt abgelegt sondern in getrennten Verzeichnissen. Ebenso in der Bibliothek. Siehe nachfolgenden Auszug aus dem log. (Sollten noch mehr Angaben benötigt werden, dann bitte mitteilen - das log läuft bei diesem Test extrem schnell voll und wird unhändelbar)

Ein weiteres Problem betrifft die Anzeige von Cover + Discart von SACD ISO´s --> hier weiß ich nicht ob das AddOn die Daten dazu an Skinkomponenten "weitergibt" oder damit gar nix zu tun hat, dass ist aus dem log für mich nicht ersichtlich. Jedenfalls werden die nicht angezeiugt, obwohl vorhanden und kodikonform benannt.

Dass log läuft bei einem solchen Versuch auch extrem schnell voll mit Debug Meldungen zum AV Index stream, so dass ein händeln der Datei mit externen Betrachtern fehlschlägt (Out of Memory) - selbst, wenn nur die Video Komponente geloggt wird.

Kodi Matrix

Hello, have installed on Kodi Matrix. I can see the sacd iso but it wont play? Any clues please? I did reboot Kodi

Show channel info for track

At the moment user cannot see in the tracklist for stereo and multichannel disc if a track is stereo or multichannel.

Objects are not removed

I tried out this component and added a folder with some ISOs. Afterwards I removed the share. Kodi asked me if I wanted to remove all objects from within the share to which I replied "yes".

After restarting Kodi, I used "update library". Kodi still tried to scan the ISOs, so they had not been removed. A look in the database confirmed that al paths starting with "archive://..." were still in the library.

This I disabled the add-on and tried updating the library again. Kodi still tried to scan the objects and now things were really slow since that didn't work.

Long story cut short: Upon removing a share, the objects with "archive://..." need to be removed as well.

SACD Iso Support Add-on conflicts with Video-Iso´s

The SACD Iso Support Add-on does not only apply to SACD Iso Files. It also impacts other Video-Iso files like BD- or UHD-Isos used for the Movie Library.
Importing of Iso Files to the Movie Library is not possible while the SACD Iso Support Addon is instaled an running. Movies are not found. When i go throug Kodi/Videos/Files to the Folder with the new movie, the iso file inside the folder is not displayed but the folder structure inside the iso.
Only after deinstallation of the SACD Iso Support Addon, the Iso filles are displayed in the folder again and the corresponding movie can be imported.
Please rework the Add-on so far that it effects exclusively the Iso Files of SACD´s connected to the Music Library. All other Video Iso files shall be unaffected by this Add-on. You can contact me if additional info is needed to fix this issue

Kodi shuts down when I try to open folder with non-SACD iso from "Music" after SACD decoder add-on install

After installing SACD decoder add-on, I select "Music" > Files > select a folder that has DVD or Blu-ray iso. Kodi shuts down. According to the debug log (see link below), Kodi thinks it's a SACD iso and crashes.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Copy a DVD iso in a folder
Open Kodi
Select "Music"
Select Files
Open the folder in number 1 above

SACD Iso Sources are not imported into the Music Library

I have a dedicated SACD Iso Share on my NAS which i added as a media source to the Music Library.

I can acess the Iso Files in this Source through Music/Files and play them but the Media insite the SACD iso Source is not imported into the Music Library, Scraper finds nothing (Scrapers are used with the same settings that work perfectly well on my Music Share with flacs and mp3´s).

Navigating between Multichannel and Stereo Layers of one Disc

All SACD´s have a Stereo Layer, therefore using the Stereo Preset is a good starting point.

But if you want to take full advantage of your Multichanned SACD´s either the "All" or the "Multichannel" Preset must be used.

Multichanned works well with MCH-SACD´s but it leads to a strange behaviour when Stereo-Only-SACD´s are played. The Stereo Track is now played as 4.0 (...or 4.1) instead of 2.0 PCM.
All leads to another strange behaviour because both Stereo and MCH Tracks are played after another when playing the Album:

Track 1 Stereo
Track 1 MCH
Track 2 Stereo
Track 2 MCH
...
Here a smarter approach to navigation is needed. Either a modification of the "All" Preset that allows to choose between Stereo or MCH when starting a Album.
Or a modification of the MCH preset that makes sure that 2.0 is not pumped up to 4.0 when playing Stereo-only SACD´s

Sort playlist by channel

When presenting sacdstreams of an iso as tracks, sorting by track in the blade menu should sort by channel info, i.e. all stereo tracks first, then all multichannel tracks.

Wishlist: Info from .xml

I think parts of this SACDdecoder are based on the work of Maxim Anisiutkin - would it be possible to implement reading/importing the info for an ISO from an .xml file with the same name as the .iso, like in foobar2000?

Some ISO files playback stutters on ARM32 android kodi

For the most part it works fine, but for some of the ISO files, sometimes the playback appears to be stuttering, adjusted the plugin parameters but it still doesn't fix it, those stuttering ISO files play fine on my computer, I compared the files and didn't find any noticeable difference, either in the encoding method (DSD or DST) or in the bitrate, it's very confusing: they can be played but the system seems to be over-utilized.
So there are no other clues to the faults to offer other than those huge ISO files that won't play. In fact, there is some pattern but it probably doesn't help that most of those original SACD disks are classical music products from RCA, such as Rubinstein's piano music.

Loud hissing noise while playing

Tested Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon SACD on this, and get a loud persistent hissing noise throughout.

Using Windows 10 (2004) 64bit Matrix 19.0 version and the 0.1.2 SACD encoder addon to an Onkyo HT-R390 reciever.

Edit: Hiss goes away if set the Output Configuration to Fixed rather than Optimized or Best Match. And also set Limit Sampling rate to 96 or below (higher and it hisses again). Hope that helps in tracking down issue as didnt need to do this on the Leia build.
