I'm trying to apply code into kitti tracking test set, but it seems doesn't work, did I miss something?
Here is the steps I did:
I put the calib, image, oxts file into folder: 3d-vehicle-tracking/3d-tracking/data/kitti_tracking/testing, and I create empty folder 0000, 0001, ... ,0028 in label_02. so the structure looks like:
I downloaded the kitti_test_trk_detections_RCC.pkl, put it into folder: 3d-vehicle-tracking/3d-tracking/data/kitti_tracking/ and rename it as kitti_test_trk_detections.pkl

Then I got empty labels in folder label_02

Here I assume that GT is the label, because we use the empty as label, so it always return 0 BBoxes. And the PD means prediction result. So far I think everything works fine.

In the paper, you assume ego-motion is given by GPS/IMU. However, I didn't find any information about GPS/IMU in the code and data sample. So how do you get the ego-motion of the ego-vehicle and build a true 3D coordinate for objects and the ego-vehicle? Without true 3D coordinates, how do you build the association matrix? Following the README.md, I finish everything until # Step 01 - 3D Estimation, i.e. running the following command:
python run_estimation.py gta val --session 616 --epoch 030
It reported the following error message
cudaCheckError() failed : no kernel image is available for execution on the device
I learned that it was possibly caused by the configuration of the makefile. Since when I was running the test case in the faster-rcnn.pytorch folder, the same error happened. And by adding -gencode arch=compute_70,code=sm_70 to the lib/make.sh, I solved this problem.
However, in 3d-tracking, I did the same thing but the problem was not solved.
How shall I deal with this case?

Hi, thanks for your great work, but how can I train the tracker models, such as LSTM, LSTMKF? On the code, I only found 803_kitti_300_linear.pth checkpoint for LSTM, but no 723_linear.pth for LSTMKF. So I just wonder how I can train them by myself.
Besides, many tracking methods are mentioned as below, but it seems only LSTM method is available for just evaluation.
I'm trying to run the faster-rcnn part in Kitti dataset, but I'm not able to do so. I'm doing this so I can reproduce the full pipeline. I did it for GTA one and it worked well.
To run this on Kitti, I downloaded Kitti's left color images of tracking data set and placed it in the correct folder. I can see it running but when using --vis I get no car bounding box. I analyzed the output of the net thresholding it, and I saw that there is no bounding box for 'car' class above 0.5 thres. I tried changing configs in config.py limiting the size of the images and tried other stuff but it didn't work. I'm also using faster_rcnn_300_100_175.pth checkpoint file.
Do you have any clue on where is the mistake?
I was able to do the whole pipeline (from image to tracking) using GTA dataset, even rescaling the input images.
I am able to achieve published results for 2d tracking. But, when I try to use 3d coordinates for 3d benchmarking using 3d iou in camera frame, I get too many false positives and mota becomes negative. can you point any issue with using 3d tracks?

I need to regenerate the dataset because my dataset is stored on a different path. gen_dataset.gta_label expects the key 'dset_name' in the label JSON. But the JSON doesn't have such a key. Looks like a bug?
I tried to download GTA dataset with download.py, which was too slow at 10kB/s.

Hi! I got some problems about the input data of 3d estimation.
gen_pred.py extract features from pkl file to json file in pred folder DATASET.PRED_PATH = DATASET.PRED_PATH.replace('train', args.split)
where PRED_PATH is defined in config.py cfg.GTA.TRACKING.PRED_PATH = join(cfg.OUTPUT_PATH, 'gta5_tracking', 'train', 'pred') cfg.OUTPUT_PATH = join(cfg.ROOT, 'output')
But those json files are not applied. In run_estimation.py, the input data are from label folder. if args.set == 'gta': JSON_ROOT = './data/gta5_tracking/{}/label/'.format(args.split)
So the data for 3d estimation are from label, rather than detection result. And I did not see any application with detection result in pred folder. That does not make sense.

initially, I planned to run faster-rcnn.pytorch firstly before testing your whole project. Then I download all required datasets(KITTI_Tracking), put them into corresponding dirs and generate soft links.
run ./init.sh,some new dir and links were built.
modify some options in ./run_train.sh(for example, DATASET="kitti")
3. sh ./run_train.sh got an error as follows:
as I guess, it means no inputs have been loaded. However, I don't make any modifications to faster-rcnn. if possible, any cues would be highly appreciated.
I encountered same problem indicated in #18. The pretrained model requires more than 8 Gbytes GPU memory.
I don't have any GPU card more than 8 GBtyes at hand, but multiple cards <= 8 Gbytes. Is it possible to retrain the model to reduce the memory footprint? > 8 Gbytes memory requirement is a bit high for inference only.
