Hi @marbre2, thanks for reporting! the error is fixed by #37 but I haven't released a new version on PyPi yet that's why you are still getting it.
You can either clone the repo code, navigate inside the code and then run python -m pip install -e . or wait a bit for the updated version to be released. I will try to do that soon.

OK, I just published a new version. You can directly pip install itk-elastix now and it should work. Let me know.
