Pull down menus allowing to install apps are disabled with 'refreshing cache' message below. Uninstalls/reinstalls didn't help. SailfishOS 2.1.4
Issue with Storeman 0.0.22 (on Oneplus X w/ Sailfish 2.1.4.14, language set to English UK).
The format used for dates seem inconsistent. To make an example, with current version of Storeman:
See https://openrepos.net/comment/20114#comment-20114 for an example and the following comment:
IMO, Storeman should not filter text for invalid HTML tags, but convert them to proper HTML (as OpenRepos' web front-end does).
When you write in landscape mode the screen jumps one row up and down after every each typed character.

While Storeman 0.0.11 is displaying web links embedded in comments nicely, I am not able to open them from there.
Hence please enable Storeman to open web links (embedded in comments) with the system's default browser.
P.S.: Sorry about testing Storeman's comment handling so intensively, I just love this functionality (which Warehouse lacks).
I was unable to login with my e-mail address, but I could with my username.
The openrepos API docs mentions only username:

I would recommend to change this comment since it will show up for the translators creating inaccurate translations which could lead to user frustration.
Gets stuck on Network Unavailable message. Please allow MANUAL network refresh or reset on app opening.
Hi,
would it be possible to show the date of the last update (and date of creation) in the overview.
There are lots of apps in the warehouse that are not updated and supported any longer.
This would save having to click through the apps individually.
I stumbled across this when trying a test version of Patchmanager 2.4.0:
After installing it manually (via pkcon install-local
) on my "test phone", Storeman 0.0.15-2 displays it as "Installed version" and "Available version", although Patchmanager 2.4.0 is not yet available in any subscribed repository. This is a bit irritating:
On my "production phone", where I have the latest release version of Patchmanager2 installed, it looks like this (i.e. O.K.):
Expected result: Storeman always displays the latest version of an RPM available in subscribed repositories as "Available version", even if a newer version was installed manually and is correctly displayed as "Installed version".
When you are on app page and add repo (which contains this app) there is no option to install this app. To do that you have to leave app page and then go back to app page and use pulley menu. Before leaving app page there is no option to install app in pulley menu.
the title says it all, if i click on the send button the comment disappear without doing nothing...
Storeman lists the installed versions of upgradeable applications under "Installed Applications --> Update available".
It should rather list the versions of the available updates there (i.e. the versions these applications are upgradable to, like Warehouse does).
But even nicer would be to state both, the installed and the available, updated version numbers, e.g.:
mapboxgl-qml
1.12-10.31.1.jolla ➟ 1.20-10.34.1.jolla
Side note: Unicode codepoints 2192 ( → ), and 279C to 27A1 ( ➜ ➝ ➞ ➟ ➠ ➡ ) seem to be appropriate arrows.
Tested with Storeman 0.0.20 and 0.0.19 on Jolla 1 phones under SFOS 2.1.4.14 and 2.1.3.7.
P.S.: May I also suggest changing the header line from "Update available" to "Available Updates", IMO that fits better.
See https://openrepos.net/comment/20113#comment-20113 for an example and the following comment:
IMO, Storeman should detect plain text messages (if the OpenRepos API offers that), and treat them accordingly.
Alternatively (dirty workaround), you may convert plain text messages to HTML (as already the case with v0.0.9) and write them back as HTML messages (currently not the case).
Maybe also a "backup/restore" of repositories/list of installed apps could be implemented such that it's possible to use that before and after factory reset or to transfer list to other device?

Version 0.9.0 of an app is seens as an upgrade over 0.12.0

Just an suggestion for a small improvement in wording:
Please change the notification text "Wait while repository data is fetched" to "Wait while fetching repository data" (or "Please wait while fetching repository data", as e.g. US-Americans like an emphasis on politeness), better denoting an ongoing process.
And it the notification text "Repository data was fetched" is only shown on success, you may make Storeman explicitly say so: "Successfully fetched repository data"
Background: Trying to differentiate the two notification texts a bit more, while denoting more clearly that one has to wait for a continuing process to finish.
Sometimes it crash itself

I tried to use backup and it doesn't work.
OS version 2.1.4.12 (not officially released)
Storeman version: 0.0.15 & 0.0.16 RC
Backup option is not active.
I would recommend to disable/replace with a notification of the comment input field when the user is not logged in.
Sometimes when I open Storeman without access to network, Storeman starts to generate popup notifications about "An error occured" When I tap it for details I can see "Network access is disabled". It generates on notification per 2-3 seconds.
Usually Storeman acting normal and there is information about lack of network on the main screen of app but sometimes it generates a lot of notifications.

Pressing 'Send' when commenting fails after upgrading to Storeman 0.0.21.
I already tried to relogin but that doesn't fix the issue.
Is there a way to change the url of the submodule to https rather than git?
Because I want build the pkg in mer buildservice without as the checkout isn't without a key.
See here and compare to how this comment is displayed by Storeman.
But maybe this is just a toolkit (Qt) issue.
Edit: Tested the tags a, em, strong, cite, blockquote, code, ul, ol, li, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6; did not test dl, dt, dd, address, pre, img. The tags a, strong, ul, ol, li, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 are displayed nicely in Storeman. Actually Storeman displays h1 to h6 a lot nicer than OpenRepos' web-frontend.
And "cite" is displayed as regular text in Storeman and as italicized text in OpenRepos' web-frontend, while it may best be displayed as superscript text.
Edit 2: (Slightly unrelated) Note, that OpenRepos' web-frontend is buggy when handling the tags cite, blockquote, code (destroys them by filtering when editing in "plain text editor"), that may affect Storeman as well (as the same filtering seems to be done when submitting comments via OpenRepos' web API).

I created two backups in Storeman on my Intex Aquafish 2.1.0.11 SFOS and they showed up in My Device when i logged into open repos.
I had to reset the device and reinstall SFOS 2.1.0.11 afterwards after logging into open repos the two backups i created no longer show and i wasnt able to restore from backup.
If an installation fails Storeman has to be closed before another installation can be tried.
Thanks for all the bug-fixes and enhancements lately, but unfortunately the comment field is not writable to (i.e. keyboard does not come up, when tapping on the comment field, but the whole window bounces), if very first comment (i.e. there are no prior comments for this application).
Tested with Storeman 0.0.18-1 (on a Jolla 1 phone under SailfishOS 2.1.3.7).
Please add buttons for <p>, <code>, <blockquote>, <ul>, <ol> and <br /> (in addition to the existing five), when writing / editing comments, as these also work well in both, Storeman 0.0.12 and OpenRepos' web-frontend.
Ideas:
Notes:
As the strikeout function has been fixed today in OpenRepos' comments, please add a strikeout button "-S-" in Storeman's comment header, creating the tag pair <s>_</s>.
As the available space in the current button layout is not sufficient for another button in portrait orientation on a Jolla 1 phone, this suggestion also includes making all buttons in the comment function the same size, which needs a reduction of the font size of the "pre" button and maybe also shrinking the margins and/or font sizes of the "< >" and "🔗" buttons.
Actually I believe that displaying all buttons at the same width/size will look better and more consistent, anyway.
