@isonaj

Incentives provide powerful motivation. While good in theory, it can produce very bad results.

Is this point related to this issue specifically, or the whole product/concept? Aligning rewards with desirable behaviour is certainly a balancing act, but the specifics of what tasks give what rewards is more of an issue for the end users rather than us as developers of the system, at least in my opinion.

@christoment

+1 for bonus annual leaves :P

And another suggestion: maybe we can add external rewards? (e.g. maybe taking this too stretched out, but like Woolies gift card?)

Can we get points transfers to Qantas frequent fliers too? ;)

Define SSW Merchandise...

I like the other ideas, especially bonus leave :p Is this idea going to go down like a lead balloon however?

This is definitely a great idea and provides a flexible options for employees to choose their own rewards making them more invested.

It's about this issue (extra incentives), but I'm also having trouble seeing value in the product at this stage. I'm just not clear on the problem we're trying to solve.
I want to be careful that we don't jump straight to building a product that doesn't solve the underlying problem.

If we start opening up extra incentives based on points, I would predict a degraded outcome that favoured the presented incentives. (for the record 😆 )
