Sorry about this. The error itself was fixed in 7.5.0. I'd suggest downloading it from the website and installing over without uninstalling.
Unfortunately, based on the error itself it sounds like your database might have gotten corrupted so it is likely that even after installing the app will still error on startup, but the error message should be more readable. I'd appreciate it if you could still give it a try, though!

Yes, as you expected the database is broken. After updating to 7.7.0 there was a better error message hinting to a faulty database.
After restoring the db from backup signal works normally.
