This is a great question. Multiple entry points is like half the point of using webpack in the first place and this module documentation sorely needs an explanation about the recommended way to have multiple entry points.

Patches welcome! I personally just use webpack config.

How are you guys achieving this? I tried adding the entries key to my webpack config, but it just keeps returning: gulp-webpack - No files given; aborting compilation
.
Here's what I am doing:
gulp.task('js', function() {
var webpackConfig = {
context: __dirname,
entry: "./js/app.js",
output: {
path: path.join(__dirname, ".."),
filename: "/js/[name].js",
chunkFilename: "/js/[id].js",
},
plugins: [
new CommonsChunkPlugin("/js/common.js"),
new webpack.ResolverPlugin(
new webpack.ResolverPlugin.DirectoryDescriptionFilePlugin("bower.json", ["main"])
)
]
};
return gulp.src('js/**/*.js')
.pipe(plugins.webpack(webpackConfig))
.pipe(gulp.dest('../'));
});

Did you try removing the – now unnecessary – gulp.src
line and simply doing:
return plugins.webpack(webpackConfig)
.pipe(gulp.dest('../'));

Yes, I tried doing that, but no dice either.

Opened #20 as this seems to be a regression introduced in #15.
