Use EML 2.1.1 ? about eml HOT 1 CLOSED

You should be using eml-2.1.1, but note that there is a lot of content in older versions of EML (2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.1.0), and that each of them is more or less an extension of the previous versions. There are some incompatibilities introduced at EML 2.1.0, but you can mostly ignore them as they have to do with how access rules are interpreted, which I think you largely can ignore. So yeah, produce 2.1.1, but consume any of the versions would be best IMO. In Morpho, when we find an old version, we forward convert it to the new namespace before allowing people to make changes, so the process of updating a metadata record has the benefit of moving it to the most recent schema version. I think a similar strategy would be good for reml.
