Hi, are these 2 files from the newest CK fixes ok to use in place of yours? ver. 2019.9.0.0
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20061
Mod Last Updated:
March 23, 2021
This mod uses 2 of the same files that you're telling users to delete or replace with yours, so i just want to be 100% sure.
I have lots of hairs. RaceMenu CTD's after accessing 100 or so hairs. This is for a new character so I can't easily do multiple racemenu initializations because of the way the mods are handled right after the racemenu closes. Engine Fixes VR doesn't seem to have the option needed to fix this.
From meh321:
There's a bug that will not release memory of custom hairs until the race menu is closed. Either close the menu from time to time to free memory or disable UseOSAllocators=1, make your character, then re-enable UseOSAllocators=1 when you're done.
This option does not exist in the Engine Fixes VR ini yet I still get the CTD. This used to fix the issue for me. How do I achieve this now?
Setting SelectAllocator = 1
makes Skyrim freeze on load. Not CTD. It freezes even though the DLL logs show it initiated some plugins. The Papyrus log halted mid-initialization of the beginning stuff prior to the main menu.
Game was working fine until yesterday. Now I can't fast travel to or from anywhere or else I CTD 100% of the time. I can enter buildings and dungeons, apparently can go to different land masses, and I can rest/wait with no issue, but if I try to fast travel via any means (either through carriage or map markers) I'll always CTD. I've attached the log file, but I'm not sure how much help they'll be. I'm at a loss for what's wrong.
sksevr.log
And apparently I can't attach the dump files. I can copy/paste the analysis results if that helps?
Can SSE Engine Fixes VR be used with VR USSEP Compat Patch?

Thank you ^_^
I am running into a CTD with SkyrimVR near-vanilla, with only USEEP and EngineFixesVR v1.20 enabled. Launching the base game (no SKSE) from ModOrganizer 2. All EngineFixesVR settings are default.
To reproduce:
To prove MemoryManager is to blame:
Other actions also seem to cause this, including named saves, quicksaves, and setini console commands.
Hardware:
I am happy playing without MemoryManager installed for now, but let me know what I can do to help troubleshoot.
Thanks!
Hi,
I read this:
"As for the updated part 2 engine fixes I would play it safe or get a confirmation from the author of VR engine fixes because it uses a DLL. The non VR engine fixes also started requiring meh address library which is only for SE."
Can we use the Nexus files Part 2 v2-02? "(Part 2) Engine Fixes - skse64 Preloader and TBB Lib 2-0-2"
Thank you!
"To install drop in your SKSE/Plugins the dll and ini file."
There is no INI file included or in Part 2 (or 1 for that matter) of the main/flat-ware version of the mod. So I don't understand?

Thank you
I just wanted to make sure cuz all the other versions were supposed to be in SKSE/Plugins.
Thank you so much for your great work!
Hello - great work here for us VR users. Any plans to add SaveAddedSoundCategories support so Immersive Sounds and Extended Sound Panel mods slider values can be saved? - thank you.
sksevr.log
I can start infinite saves just fine, but if I ever have to load a save (kind of a common thing tbh) the game just CTDs. my load order works great otherwise. I really need ESL support or I have to get rid of most of my mods including the creation club ones. the ESL support mod requires this one, and this one seems to require skyrimvr.exe be the executable. but for me to get skyrim vr to work with steamvr on linux with skse I have to rename the eze and reference skyrimvr.exe (sksevr but renamed) back to the renamed exe. every other plugin works with this setup. steam works, but this mod does not. can anyone explain to me how to convince this mod to accept skyrimvr.exe being called skyrimvr-bak.exe? because if I fix this I can load saves and I can have such an awesome time here. can i recompile the dll maybe? I tried editing it with a hex editor but it just borked it until I changed it back, but the fact it worked when I changed it back with the editor tells me I may be able to do something here if I have help.
The EngineFixesVR.dll has to be changed to EngineFixes.dll otherwise it can't find it to load it.
The log is always verbose even if you set it to false in the ini file.
The CleanSKSECosaves is not working, they remain present.
I don't see any EngineFixes lines in the log, the first action that I see in the log is the FormCaching.
Yes, that was the cause. Disabling MemoryManager fixed my CTD on E key problem which has plagued so many DSN users.
I'm noob modder and if I don't have something as simple as "download with mod app and install" I am lost.
I can't find any of the files in the downloaded zip, mentioned in the "how to install" section; I can't find the directory where to drop said files, can't find the "part 2" part. Instructions unclear.
can someone give me a hand in anyway? maybe a discord dm? thank you
Hello, I've been running SSE Engine Fixes alongside SSE Fixes, I've disabled FormCaching, and TreeLODReferenceCaching, as I believe those are redundant when using SSE Fixes (correct me if wrong), TreeLODReferenceCaching also causes CTDs when running both fixes, not sure if FormCaching does the same. This has been working well for about 30 hours of playtime.
Recently I attempted to for go SSE Fixes as most people say it's redundant, however doing so increased my CPU frametimes around Solitude from 8ms-16ms. Which is a very large jump. I disabled every mod in my load order with no change.
I believe Engine Fixes is working, as I can see some of the other fixes working as intended, the most obvious being achievements reenabled.
Do you have any ideas what might cause this? Are those two fixes meant to entirely replace SSE Fixes, or is there perhaps more going on that I should keep running both?
Thank you!
I had been using EngineFixesVR 1.14 for a while and it worked. I checked for new versions of various mods and installed EngineFixesVR 1.2, however this caused my game to crash immediately (couldn't even reach the menu). I am sure I installed it correctly so I tested going back to 1.14 and it worked again.
I use ModOrganizer2 to launch SKSE, but I noticed if I launched skse loader straight from the folder, the game did seemt to start, unlike the instant crash when launching from inside MO2, so there may be some kind of incompatibility with another mod.
I have installed Skyrim VR (1.4.15)
Installed SKSEVR (для 1.4.15)
And installed both parts of EngineFixesVR
I have Visual C++ 2019
I didn't install anything else and I still get this error
skse64 plugin preloader - d3dx9_42

Hello,
First I should say this is some wonderful work, and it's making VR play much better than without. I'm currently playing VR with the UVRE Wabbajack list and it comes with EngineFixesVR built in, however we've noticed there's an issue with the game, specifically with the bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1
setting.
Having it enabled lets you fast travel with minimal crashes, however some dungeons and caves will crash when going into them (from my testing, going from Valthume to Valthume Catacombs has you crash on the loading screen).
Having it disabed/removed fixes the issue of the loading screen crashes at specific cell transitions and I was able to progress through Valthume without issues, but now fast travel crashes the game consistently.
I was wondering if there's anything you can take a look at there to possibly fix the issue? Thanks.
Does this not include DLLLoader code?
Without xSHADOWMANx's Dll Loader or DLL Plugin Loader from meh321, this will not load plugins from the Data\Plugins\Sumwunn directory. Is the location different?
I thought SSE Engine Fixes normally included the latest version of this.
