Add section that answers 'if it's all about efficiency, then aren't some meats more efficient than some veggies'
Yes. But practicality. Have to categorize things, and improve as we go.
Also it may not be super clear atm how I can talk of stealing and morals and then NOT be strict. Might need a transition. Or related to above; it's not the meat itself that I am opposed to, but the use of resources. So it's a quantitative thing.
Combine biorxiv and chatgpt apis to summarize all the recent articles of a given topic
i made an automated workflow that will send me 5 local species to try to find, every sunday. it looks at local inat observations in the current month, compares to my own copy of my own inat observations that i have updated on this github, and then chooses 5 species that i've personally never seen but that are common. and it automatically texts me every sunday.
should move code to separate file and use includes. also think of changes that arent random but linked to a given post?
the revolution is hard to contradict with hard evidence. but that doesn't make it real. blog post/paper idea
Consider something like digitaloceanspaces for storage of media. Hosting photos, data...
I have observed some taxa for the first time recently, and they don’t show up. But other taxa do later, so it’s not like it’s just not updating

Maybe an r-bloggers specific tag so I can keep the standalone R for post that don't meet their requirements

Probably can directly use the above file for a full publications page. Should be able to use github actions to automatically download the csv regularly.
I'd also like to keep my whole cv organized better. Maybe when implementing this I could also do that - the idea would be to keep all the data in a database that can be pulled together as-needed (eg some apps don't want certain sections or statements, but others do). Then it'll be easier to just update the database regularly and not have to consult many different versions of my cv...
Following code can be used to retrieve currently reading or just finished books. Should also be able to automatically include any recent reviews.

want to keep number of categories very small. and probably want to copy the slick <details> structure on archives pages from the tags, so the top of the page doesn't get too cluttered. so rethink what my categories are (maybe 'stats' and 'new results' should be merged into just 'science' and the distinction is made with tags? or maybe look into hierarchical categories and how to code the archives in that case.)
I've customized the home layout a lot, as well as the header and footer. Consider ways to make it cleaner - eg make better use of Liquid, and put more info in the config yaml, so it's easier to update in the future
Yep
would like to highlight eg the rarest taxa i have observed, or anything that i specifically mark as interesting. maybe some summary stats. things that are new to me.
