Same is true for regular dict:

a_dict = {
    'key': 0
}

a_dict['key'] = a_dict['key'] + 1  # [consider-using-augmented-assign]

from pylint.

It seems like it also applies for lists:

kiwi = [1, 2]
kiwi[0] = kiwi[0] + 1  # [consider-using-augmented-assign]

from pylint.
