has enabled + and also * as the start of metadata information. But its regex is too restrictive and fails on name of metadata with *-_ characters like metadata_suffix.

thanks for the plugin, it's exactly what I need - however I tried to get it working with python 3.9 (I assume that's not the problem) and these versions

• nbconvert 6.0.7
• nbformat 5.1.3
• notebook 6.4.0

fiddled areound a couple of hours, but I just cannot figure it out.

The plugin does load but does not process my notebooks
ERROR: Could not process posts\2020-04-01-notebook-test.ipynb
| basic

Would be awesome if you could check or give me a hint on how to investigate further.

one q: how can I set notebook/pelican to show only first N cells in a description?
right now it shows the whole notebook from my main page

it would be also nice to strip out in and out index numbers

for your information: the pelican-ipynb plugin now also supports the meta notebook cell feature: danielfrg/pelican-jupyter#92
