Using "Install Chrome Extensions", where do temp files and default locations go then? E.g. in Chrome, SessionBuddy saves to C:\Users[name]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\databases\chrome-extension_edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0. I know the SessionBuddy I installed in Opera doesn't save to the same place because it has it's own set of data of saved sessions. But there is no equivalent location under ...\local\opera software. So where is it going? This info could be added to the info screens about "Install Chrome Extensions" so this info could be found.

Hoxx VPN has been working perfectly & fast with all servers for ages since installing but now in the last week it will just sit on the connection bar very slowly trying to connect & eventually says it can't or is being blocked. Is this a possible issue caused by the newest versions of Opera or something else? I haven't been able to find any feedback on this from anyone else experiencing the same issue but nothing has really changed at my end that I'm aware of that would cause this.

Previously, everything worked.
But now when I try to install the extension, windows appear for downloading and confirming the installation.
When you try to download, a download error occurs.
After clicking "OK" in the list of extensions there is nothing to install.

Like it already done in Opera with official extensions or in Chrome, where if you click at extension name in Extensions tab you will open its page in Chrome Web Store. If something in my suggestion still unclear, you can ask me 😄

Dashlane says this is their support. How do I install it in Opera? The directions which worked originally no longer work. There is no Dashlane button in Chrome.

There's now only "Available On Chrome" button which takes to the Chrome browser download page. Tried enable/disable and reinstall "Install Chrome Extensions" a few times but that didn't help.

These extensions don't work, they just present a pop-up that says you have to sign in but the link or ability to sign is not working.

As seem here, in order to work with Opera, the browser extension should produce Chrome-build with only single LICENSE (or Opera-specific build). It means that Opera store is not accepting the SPDX license identifier GPL-3.0-or-later.

SPDX is wide adopted standard for identifying license texts. The REUSE specifications are also based on the SPDX identifiers. The project may be licensed under diverse licenses, what makes it inconsistent with the rules of Opera Store.

Could you please explain the reasons for accepting only a single LICENSE file, and what the exact rule we need to check?

I'm on the dev channel (currently on 55.0.2962.0) and for a month or so, on two separate machines, I don't have the Install in Opera (or whatever it used to say) in the Google extension pages!

Any ideas on what to do?

The extension has an option to either give "guest" extensions access to all sites, or only some selected sites, or based on click. I tested this with a VPN ext and had three problems:

1. When I deny it access to a site, its icon changes (surrounded in a circle), but the ext still has access to the site. I can confirm it because the VPN changes my IP.
2. It does not work with Google (even no surrounding circle)
3. When I enable the ext for a site by clicking, I can't revert this action.

As it is discussed here, your addon no longer works. Visiting chrome's store and selecting an extension to install results in a blue box saying "availabe for chrome" instead of the red "install to opera". The exact same behavior happens when you disable the extension and do the same procedure, so, as it seems, it does not work at all.

I have it myself checked it in 2 fresh installs of opera-beta and opera-developer, which means everything on them was stock. I can not check it on opera-stable because it is my everyday browser and I dont
want to risk breaking something.

To two previous versions of Opera I use the extension "Download Chrome Extension". With it I can download extensions from the chrome web store, however, it is giving error and the browser closes and does not install any extension of the store "chrome web store". I have completely removed the browser and deleted all the folders and even then the following error message appears, as below.

Unable to download the package from the network error.
Check you internet connection and try again.

Obs. Information for the FIM that my connection is normal.

Linux version I am using:

Version: 48.0.2685.35 - Opera is updated
Refresh stream: Stable

I am currently running Opera 68, Win 10 64 bit, Install Chrome Extensions v 2.5.9. Tried today to load several extensions (all of the same type, HLS) and all of them failed with the error message:
Extension installation failed. Package is invalid: 'CRX_FILE_NOT_READABLE'.

Have looked on the internet, but I don't see any obvious solutions. Everyone seems to think the solution is to load the CRX file directly after enabling developer mode. That doesn't help when the file is coming from the Chrome Web Store and turning on developer mode didn't solve the error either. Do you have any suggestions?

Update: tried also to install Grammarly and Mate Translate with the same results. Apparently I am unable to install ANY Chrome extension.

I'm using opera 54.0.2952.54 on Debian Stretch. I use Ultra Button, Checker Plus for Gmail, Checker Plus for Google Calendar from Chrome store. It is about a week now when I started to experience issue with dark background for all those pop up windows. Native Opera extensions are all right. All those extensions in Chrome are all right.

For Checker Plus for Google Calendar I did workaround by choosing invert theme, but I can't do it for other extensions.

When I clic install button, send me to the opera extensions, but the new extension don't appear and I can't clic install if don't appear. I have Windows 10.

I had the extension disabled and checked a chrome extension and the "add to Opera" was still there. and it worked too!
then I tried uninstalling the "chrome webstore extension" and tried another chrome extension and It still worked!

I love the extension and Opera would be horrible without it as I have many Chrome extensions I use daily. But it is a real pain having it open another window and then I have to approve it to install it. How about an option section to allow ALL extensions? I am not sure why it even asks as I have already approved by clicking install. Thanks again.

The Cookie Autodelete extension (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cookie-autodelete/fhcgjolkccmbidfldomjliifgaodjagh/support) is broken on Opera 53, whitelisted cookies are deleted whereas they should not. It used to work before I had to reformat my computer a month ago following a catastrophic failure.

I tried to download an older version of Opera to test, but I cant for the life of me find where to get one (arc.opera.com seems to be dead).

Any tips on how to troubleshoot this ?

First of all, excellent job, thank you. However, even if I have installed the Webex for Chrome, it did not work. When I try the Webex Test, it says Your browser, browser version, or operating system is currently unsupported.. Can you check it, if it is appropriate to ask it to you?

You could try to help with the compatibility of the installed extensions (or create a specific extension for this), providing some option (either one), not being exactly to fix all the errors, just try to help to minimize them in some way . And for advanced usurious, give the option to spit in an editable format the extension to directly change your code, and at your own risk try to fix, but not to redistribute it plagiarize or something, just try to fix it for yourself. It would also be very cool if you cris a log generator in .txt with all the existing information of the errors that have been obtained, to try to fix them or myself to contact the developer. Who knows? From there, he could try to fix or even create an extension port with what he has, directly pro opera. Well, of course also, he can do nothing and refuse to do anything (rather, we always have to dream that they will at least try to do it, do not we? ツ

None of the Chrome store extensions work.
Seems to load into Opera OK (in .config directory).
But on the actual install page in Opera, clicking "Install" does nothing.

Hi, , I installed the open chrome extension, thing is chrome itself was bugging me for some error and switch to opera. thing is after i did that 'terminal' instructions and so on , my laptop isnt working for my job. is been a whole day trying to fix it but i cant. i dont know nothing about code. please help me. im a music producer, and i have a deadline in 2 days and i can't open my DAW software to finish .. im really freaking out. can i please get some instructions to uninstall and get my os x the way it was before i installed this?? maybe it was that other application (node) that i installed because it wasnt working and i did that other run also.
