Everything is cool expect the vague view on scrolling content in day mode. When scrolling the content on the top-right corner within the document, the shade by cursor is so dark that I cannot see the characters. The function in dark mode works fine, though.
If you enable Preference > Syntax Support > Highlight
, it is way too bright in Ursine Umbra. Please consider some darker shade of blue, since it is sore to eyes.
As a side note, Ursine works great under Linux, however at least Manjaro has slight issues with some glyphs, namely y
as you can see from the screenshot. Not that you should do anything about it, just reporting the state of things.
Thank you for making the theme, it is truly great!
Here is my test codes:
```mermaid
%% LR: left2right, TD/TB: top2down, RL/BT
subgraph 2
a == d ==> c
c --> d((Decision))
end
subgraph 1
A[Hard edge] -->re(Round edge)
A -.-a
re -.->C{circle}
C --- X[X]
C -->|Two| B[B]
C -.Three .-> D[C]
end
style a fill:#f9f,stroke:#333,stroke-width:4px
style C fill:#ccf,stroke:#f66,stroke-width:2px,stroke-dasharray: 5, 5
Hello ! I'm new here, and I dislike the color used for some command in bash, the light green one (like echo, mv...). How can I change it ?
Sorry for the noob question :<
Hi,
Unfortunately greek fonts look very weird, with wonky letters. I tried both the cyrillic and the regular version.
If you plan on fixing them I can give you screenshots of what's wrong just tell me!
Thanks for a great theme!
👍👍👍
Hello, please implement support for the Cyrillic alphabet. Now the Russian text looks weird.
Hi,
When you export your notes to PDF, if you used bold formatting inside a list, you lose it. Like for some reason cannot combine being in a list and being in bold formatting.
Another thing, not sure if a bug because haven't tried exporting to PDF with Bear, but the H1/H2/etc. codes are exported too in the PDF. Kinda pointless to have that info there.
Great theme, thanks for the work you are doing.
Would it be an improvement to make the table header more visible when in focus mode?
Consider that the data lines above and below are not especially important but knowing what data goes in which column is.
Alternatively highlight the header of the column you're currently in. So in the image above it would highlight only the "Foo" column.
macOS: 10.15.6
Typora: Version 0.9.9.34.2 (4509)
Ursine: 2.0.1
Window flashes white for half a second when opening Typora with Ursine Umbra on.
Doesn't seems to happen with Ursine Polar.
I also opened a similar issue on Typora as it affects multiple dark themes, but not all of them. You can find the list of dark themes I tested here: typora/typora-issues#3776
Can you implement functionality where the Ursine Polar/Umbra themes wrap to the width of the open window when the window is large rather than only expanding up to a certain width?
I use the shortcuts ⌘ + 1…6 to create a headline. When I do this before entering text the Ursine theme somehow moves the hashtags for the headline a line below or above the cursor input.
It’s hard to explain. Here are some screenshots before hitting the shortcut and after (left side normal view, right side source code view).
I have no clue why this is happening or if it’s just me. Other themes seem to have no problem.
Hi,
Thank you so much for your contribution of this theme, I enjoy it a lot than any other themes. There is only one issue that I am really concerned, I tried to fixed it by myself but failed. Unlike other themes, the numbered list will automatically reset to 1 if it is the first one, regardless of which number you typed it. Suppose I put 2.
or anything else, the actual view will turn to 1.
and begin to count from 1. (Windows)
I am not sure if this is your special design, it can be quit convenient for some unexpected typos though and always correct the numbers. But sometimes I want to get it start from a specific number, or write something without indent and then follow the number flow by hand.
I would be grateful if you can fix this, or maybe just show me a little how to solve this if this is indeed your special design. This theme is almost all I want, and I really want to figure this small problem.
Thank you.
In preferences panel, Appearance - Font Size - Customized only changes the font size of inline code, not the general text.
Why did I lost the red-color-highlight when I export as PDF or printed file?
Clicking anywhere in the first paragraph will move the keyboard cursor to the start of the paragraph. This issue does not appear in other paragraphs.
The Typora version I'm using 0.9.93, and I confirmed this issue is only present on this theme.
I agree on the stylistic choice for keeping the editor small (#25) but this can easily look bad for tables (which are intended to display data...).
The columns can't be especially wide at all before the columns start collapsing.
Could we make it look okay excluding the table from the current max-width?
Ah yes! I recently changed the highlighter color for both themes in 1.6.3, I just haven't updated the screenshots in the README yet, ahah. But that is the intended color (though I might change them again since I think the color could stand out a bit more as a highlighter).
And thank you, glad you like it!
Thanks for you response !
The font is not included in the release but used in the styles
Hello !
I love this theme, but I noticed that it is the only one I know that does not show mermaid code blocks when diagrams are clicked :
It is supposed to look something like this (here with the Misty Light theme) :
If that can help, I saw that the Vue theme also does something funny with mermaid diagrams code :
When I'm using the Ursine theme (either Polar or Umbra) and the first paragraph is not a header, trying to select it fails. Instead, its selection box (or whatever it's called) is immediately above the text and to its left, so if I click there, it will select the text.
Again, this only occurs on the first paragraph, and it does not occur if the text is a header. I've tried this with other themes, so I know it's an Ursine issue.
Typora Version: Typora 0.9.9.25.3(2879)
In Ursine Polar 1.6.2, I found a small issue when I try to rename my file.
In casually, it's easy to solve by some CSS like this:
#file-library-tree div.file-node-content > div.file-tree-rename-div > input.file-tree-rename-input {
color: #808080;
}
Nevertheless, this post is still just a issue report. A official solution is still yearned to help more users.
Thank you so much for your contribution. (・ェ・。)
Hey! I absolutely adore this theme. It's my favorite Typora theme by far.
I've noticed that in Polar, when you rename a file in either the file list view or the tree view, the text is the same color as the dialogue box. This makes the text unreadable while you're renaming the file. In the image below, you can tell that there is text in the box because of the red typo squiggles, but you can't read it.
Thanks again for this great theme!
Hi! I apologize if I posted it in the wrong place.
I did some experiments based on your design theme and I liked the result. I want to share this. If you like my ideas, please use them in your design theme or in a new one.
I am attaching a screenshot, a link to a theme file, and a link to a test file.
I will be glad if Typora will add good themes.
In a dark design theme, when you hover over the button, the background of the button turns white and the button text is not read.
This can be fixed if in the code block starting at line 1160
.ty-preferences .btn-default:hover {
border-color: #428bca;
background: #2e2e2e;
color: #fff;
}
Change background setting to
background: #2e2e2e !important;
The software development team I work on uses markdown to document our projects.
I really like your Ursine Umbra theme except for one detail.
The inline code blocks look nothing like multiline code blocks.
Code should stand out and look like code, whether it is inline or multiline in my opinion.
Suggested fix:
code {
font-size: .9em;
border: 1px solid #ffffff26;
border-radius: .25rem;
padding: 0.25rem .5rem;
background-color: #282a36;
}
I additionally wanted this to give a bit more space between normal text and code blocks since the padding was increased but it isn't working. I tried Sh-F12 to use the Dev Tools to diagnose but
Typora kept locking up on me so I gave up.
code:not(:first-child) {
margin-left: 0.25rem;
}
code:not(:last-child) {
margin-right: 0.25rem;
}
Your thoughts?
How to change to a font face I like ?
This theme exports to PDF is different from bear. Could anyone help?
In the dark ursine-umbra-cyrillic.css
you have a problem with highlighting text in code mode. Highlight and text are white and unreadable. A similar problem is with the footer button.
To fix this, I suggest this.
add to section :root {
:root {
--select-text-bg-color: #0662D3;
...
in code from line 909 and below
.dropdown-menu .active a,
.dropdown-menu .has-extra-menu.active a,
.dropdown-menu .has-btn-submenu .menu-style-btn.active, #footer-word-count-info .ty-footer-word-count-all tr:hover,
#ty-spell-check-dict-missing-menu li:hover, .ty-spell-check-panel-item.ty-active, .ty-spell-check-panel-item:hover, .footer-item:hover {
background: #2b2b2b !important;
color: #ddd !important;
}
swap values of variables background
and color
as shown here
and add below block e.g.:
.footer-item {
background: #1E2022 !important;
color: #DEDEDE !important;
}
