hemiphot's Introduction

Hemiphot

Hemiphot.R is a script to calculate light indices and more from hemispherical images. Please read the manual and helpfile to use this script.

Hemiphot.R is based on Hemiphot and Winphot, originally written in Pascal. The programmes have been widely used (over 300 cites) but became obsolete after Windows XP.

HemiphotTest.R provides examples of all single calculations. HemiphotBatch.R provides examples of batch calculations for a number of images in one directory To be able to use Hemiphot.R you will need to install the functions with the command >source("Hemiphot.R") provided the script is found in your working directory

If you use Hemiphot.R for your research or work please cite as: Hans ter Steege (2018). Hemiphot.R: Free R scripts to analyse hemispherical photographs for canopy openness, leaf area index and photosynthetic active radiation under forest canopies.

hemiphot's Issues

Using Hemiphot with narrow fisheye view angle

Hello,

We are trying to use hemiphot with pictures acquired with a narrow fisheye view angle. I mean the view angle is 150° instead of 180° .Is there any strategy to do with 150° fisheye view angle ?

I thank you in advance for your answer.

Best regards,

Didier
