Portrait view is not possible for win 10.

On the second screen the cursor is doubled. (also it seems the 2nd monitor screen is not sharp)

the notebook is "dell vostro 3500" and the 2nd monitor is "philips 227e" (same is happening to monitor NEC MultiSync E222W when conected as 2nd monitor - so i think this is not issue of the monitor)

I saw that there is no support for Big Sur on this issue (#23). Will there be an update for Big Sur or Monterey?

Is there any plans to add Linux support for this device?

As it's a USB device, there should be no need for an EXE, .sys, .inf, and .dll at most. After running it through virus total, i'm still aprehensive about installing this... Normally people don't open a gihub just to push installers, but rather for the source code. Where's the source code?

V2.0.1.7.3 eat CPU very much, about 30% of CPU, and the display laggy.
V1.0.xx all have no CPU issue, but V1 will keep connect/disconnect HDMI many times when windows turn off the screen, and this is which don't happen in V2.

could you fix the v2 CPU issue?

Hello, it works normally until I connect my 3 monitor on my normal HDMI output. I was looking on the logs and apparently the problem is the way It's using the Win8ScreenDriverImpl.

I have a Lenovo laptop with USB 3.0 port and a Sceptre 15" display . The display never stops blinking which means it does not see any signal. I have run device manager it does not detect any new devices ???

So I am running macOS 10.15.7, AND bought an HDMI dongle AND an HDMI to USB A cable, to extend, preferably my iMac display to my old touchscreen Windows Vista (now it runs Windows 7 Home Premium) running Dell PC from 2008-ish, and once I finally got the command to somewhat work (I had to even first go digging in my system files for about 3 hours to find the command prompt... It would be really nice if there was a macOS app or status bar icon or both), it never displayed on my Windows Dell. I have enabled screen recording in macOS, like other issues outcomes were said to be, but still to no avail. I think the problem is that it won't open or download DisplayX, and related software, as it says it cannot open DisplayX. It would be really nice if the driver actually worked, and did what it was said to be, which is extending the display. But nope, for some reason, that feature got removed, and now I cannot use this the way I intended. I have even tried different versions of this programme. I have a feeling this is a duplicate of another repository, that does not give any credit to the original authors, only because the software does not work, and from reading other issues, it does not do what it is said to do, even when it works. I am very disappointed with this software. Anyways, here is my terminal output from my most recent run (and no, I have only saved this one):

EDIT: The fps stuff at the end, reverted to the programme crashing over and over, to try and find a device (which the iMac is already plugged in to), without ever succeeding. So, after restarting my iMac for the 7th time, it lost the progress I have made to get this crappy programme to work. It now displays the following:

I am on Windows 10 Pro and installed "MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.0.18.0". The device will initially connect but, before anything can display, it will disconnect. After a few second, it'll reconnect again and repeat the process. I tried installing FrescoDriver but it had no affect.

The latest version from this repo works, but it's impossible to use the monitor plugged into the adapter due to lag and no cursor.

I have tried to download the newest version from "usbdisplay.ultrasemi.com", but then everything stops working completely, and nothing is displayed on the monitor. The app runs, and it detects the USB, but nothing happens.

So what I have tried:

How can I find an extended mode please, to use tv as a monitor

The monitor does not appear in settings>monitors. I tried pressing the option key and clicking detect monitor but it still doesn't appear, only mirroring works.

Is there a way to force extend?

Does not work on Win 11 , its sold with very bad devices on Amazon for a sick high price
The driver goes into an endless loop on Windows 11 , so much endless that you can't uninstall it , only in safe mode.
Claims "no device" while the Device (its a Standard LED TV) is working properly on 3 other Laptops.
Please opensource this or update, else take it off the market, this is doing more harm than good!

the MS USB Display program does recognize it, even saying if an output is connected or not

it might be also helpful to add that everything worked just fine yesterday.

My computer has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. I have plugged the device into the USB 3.0 port. However, the software said the device was plugged in USB 2.0 port, and only a very low resolution is supported. Is there any problem with the software, or how can I solve the problem? Thanks!

PROBLEM:
External display renders only a black screen showing mouse only
Can not extend display and it doesn't show up as a displays in settings
Only renders for a few seconds and then turns itself off
Is this a security feature of Mac OS?

Hello! For devices with windows 10 pro, when choosing the view for portrait mode (vertical monitor), the driver doesn't work

Using the latest version driver, on windows 10. i cant see the mouse on the screen, and the fps is really low (~1 per second). Any ideas on what could be the issue? i had tried selecting winusb to only use the internal GPU. If i try changing resolution on "view settings", both monitors are identified as 1.

I've tried everything sort of a fresh Windows 10 install. WinUsbDisplay software crashes and relaunches every few seconds. I cant use the adapter. I've notice this is a pretty widespread issue on forums. Here's what my Log looks like

I'm on 11 Big Sur, it detects partially the monitor but asks often to enable Screen Records and can't get it fully work, just shows sometimes the mouse and black screen.

"no mountable file systems" error through plug/play. The two other working links for .dmg files from this site give me an "image not recognized" error (oldest .dmg is a dead link so I can't try that one).

I tried my USBDisplay in Windos 10, and it worked very good for Extend and MIrror mode, but , I tried in MacOS Big Sur 11.5 (Mac 2012 Core i7) and It Only work on MIrror mode, it doesn't allow working on Extend mode.

When I going to System Preferences -> Display, it only show laptop's display, it doesn't show USBDisplay.

I installed all driver versions available in your Github, and Still not working in extend mode, only MIrror mode.

Just bought 3 usb 3.0 hdmi adapters I have installed V2.0.1.7.3 I am not seeing else come up? not being recognized? Not sure if user error? please help

On my laptop, I have an external display HDMI port. The HDMI port works great. When I plugin only the USB Display port then this also works (Sometimes after 2 minutes it goes into the black screen then again I need to plug off and plugin). But when I plug in 2 monitors one with the built-in HDMI port another with the USB Display then the only HDMI port works. The USB Display is not working if the HDMI is connected. It shows the black screen. USB display and the built-in HDMI are not working simultaneously.
