GitHub for mac barfs completely when lolcommits is enabled about lolcommits HOT 4 CLOSED

Lolcommits uses a post-commit hook, so I don't see how this could happen before committing. It looks like Github for Mac did commit something though (hence the commit message and SHA). I tried committing using Github for Mac on my machine and it didn't even run lolcommits :/.

My understanding is the way git revert works is it generates a new commit in order to remove the old ones, the man page says git revert is used to record a new commit to reverse the effect of an earlier commit. So it seems like Github for Mac is doing something similar, which is why revert would generate a commit.

Now, as to why it captures for some people and not others, I have no idea...

On the crashing issue, @maxwell, are any logs generated from the Github .app? Check Console.app and see if perhaps they get dumped in ~/Library/Logs or somewhere?
