๐ฑ I am currently learning modern C#/ASP.NET multi-platform development, including MAUI in my spare time as part of hobby programming and to support my skills as a developer.
๐ผ I am a Software Developer at KMsoft working on Inventory/Stock management software solutions in a variety of areas. The main two focusing on Medical and Industrial.
๐จโ๐ I am Graduate from Uni of Stirling. BSc (Hons) Software Development with Cyber Security. You can check out my portfolio at portfolio.ljskinner.com
๐จโ๐ป I am collaborating with my good friend Andrew McGuckin on Project Roundtable projects. We are currently working on a degree classification and grade calculator for fellow Uni of Stirling students.
There's some cleaning up I could do, particularly in the class that handles the Config options. There's also a few things I had missed in the main Item class that could be changed, such as some methods being non-static where they probably should be.
As these don't appear to be the cause of the bug (from my testing) that is happening to some people in #15 I will ship these changes with the update to MC 1.19.4.
At the moment there isn't much feedback to the player when an entity can't be stored. This should be a simple addition, and will be targeted for the next QOL update to the mod.
So I was using the lasso for a bit and it worked fine, but now I have to rejoin every time I use it. I can pick up and place 1 mob no problem, but the second time I try to do it, it doesn't work, and is just considered me hitting a mob until I relog again.
This is still a long way away and in pre-release but when it is released and the dependencies are updated, the mod will be updated to the most recent version.
If people want the ability to just store everything in the lasso, this currently is possible. Add an config option that allows the whitelist to be skipped if the player wants to allow all mobs.
There are new textures for the lasso which I should be able to use in place of the enchanted effect. One for an empty lasso and one when it is has an entity inside it.
Another mod called Project: Save the Pets! protects pets from getting damaged by explosions or powder snow and the like. But if I have it installed, Emerald Lasso fails. (Setting preventAttack: false doesn't work as I'd expect.) Do you have any suggestions?
