About

Programming and charging dock for the ZSWatch.

Please check the wiki for more information about the project.

Configurations

The dock can be used with an integrated Segger J-Link debugger or with an external Serial Wire Debugger (SWD) with an 10-pol ARM Cortex JTAG SWD connector.

Dock connector

The pinout for the dock connector is shown below.

VBUS protection diode doesn´t work with nPM1300

Replace it with LM66200

Remove 3.3 V regulator in minimal variant.

The regulator is not needed.

Add jumper to disable power supply (useful to switch between battery and stationary power)

Idea

VBUS must be disabled to simulate charging or not charging with the dock to the watch.

Requirements

Use a low-profile switch to reduce the height of the dock and make it possible to lay the watch on top of it in the future.

Update link for STM32 datasheet

VTarget on the STM32 SWD interface must be switched when using variant with external J-Link

In case the reduced variant is used (external J-Link) VTarget must be set to 1.8V because the watch SWD is running on 1.8V.

Best option is to use two 0 Ohm resistors and assemble them according to the variant.

Add note for setting SEL to high per default to support rev <5

Change power supply for CHARGE LED to VBUS

Otherwise we have a delta of 1.7 V and the MOSFET might turn on.

Rework sharing of PCB specifications

Screenshots are outdated.

Add interface for current measurment

Add a 2-pin jumper for a current measurement of the watch. A PPK2 can use this interface.

Replace resistor for CHARGE LED

Currently: 13 mA
New: 5 mA

Add USB data connection as second USB interface

Remove STATUS LED in minimal variant

Question about STM32_TxD and STM32_RxD in Reset-Config

Look into the schematic design, I am trying to understand the purpose of getting STM32_T(R)xD in the ZSWatch-Reset-Config section of schematic diagram, but did not get an idea. Any clues about this is really appreciated.
