Hmm, it shouldn't have any noticeable impact. Are you using the latest version fro this git repository?

I was using the standard release. Unfortunately, I had to remove the plugin as it was talking too long to load the thumbs in the media manager on a real estate site with lots of photos. It's a very useful plugin I still use it on other sites.

Ok, it's possible there was an issue in the .org released version - I'll push an update there when I get a chance. However, I don't want to put time into debugging this if it's an old version so closing out for now.
