Named functions should be promoted as the norm, which is why we have fn.name
as the first check. fn.displayName
was added because some advanced usage included generating anonymous functions in a loop. However, I do see a benefit in using displayName
before name
for scenarios where people want named functions but to define the task as clean:dist
. I think in these cases it might just be better for them to defer to the taker.task(name, fn)
syntax instead of relying on displayName
. @contra any thoughts?

IMO displayName
should have higher precedence over name

Alright, merged. I will release this when there are a few more things worth releasing (due to minor bump required)
