This is probably the only deal-breaker when evaluating the hosted version. Non-blocking notification would eliminate all concerns about the problems that could arise with blocking.

Could someone clarify this issue and how it affects the hosted and self-hosted versions of Sentry?
Does Sentry support Async HTTP requests for both hosted and self-hosted?

As of 0.9.x we (by default) use curl_multi which is an as-close-as-we-can-get async solution
