langstone's Issues

[Question] 1 or 2 antenna ?

Hello,
I am interested in your project.
But there is one thing that I cannot understand, at the exit of the pluto, there are 2 antennas (RX / TX). How do you do with this configuration ?
Do you have 1 or 2 antenna (for each band) ?
If you use only 1 antenna (on 1 band), what do you use ?
thank you for your response,

Langstone upgrade

Hi I have been using the Langstone for many months now and tried to upgrade the software. When the upgrade completed the Langstone would no longer boot informing me the the boot folder no longer existed.
I have also tried rebuilding an SD card from scratch and I get the same result.
Can anyone advise me please.

Pluto segmentation fault

After not having used my Langstone for quite a while I started using it again, but it complains that Lang_tx.py can't find the Pluto, and when I run Pluto_test I'm getting a segfault:

I've then done a clean install of Langstone as per the instructions using a different (new) SD card. I've also updated Pluto firmware version v.037. I am using a Pluto RevD. After these steps, the issue still persists.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

error after boot

Got some errors at the end of the installation that I could not register. Reboot followed without problems but ended with:

cp: error writing '/dev/fb0': No space left on device

running Raspi 4 with 32 GB SSD and Bullseye software
original Raspi 7'' display
Adalm-Pluto attached but no mouse yet.

Any help ?

It also works with a Waveshare 7" DSI display

Langstone also works with a Waveshare 7" 800x480 DSI display with capacitive touchscreen.

I've used the install.sh script, and then commented out lcd_rotate=2 from /boot/config.txt because the touchscreen sent wrong position info. Looking at the differences between install scripts, i could have just used install_dfr0550.sh without any changes.

Possible to have different "harmonics mode" config on RX vs. TX path?

Hi,

is it possible out of the box to have the TX path of the Pluto SDR configured with a different harmonics mode than the RX path?
Let's say e.g. RX path with a downconverter for 10GHz reception on a lower frequency (based on the supported offset mode and 1x harmonics mode) and e.g. the TX path to generate a 10GHz TX signal with no frequency offset and set to 5x harmonics mode?

I think currently the harmonics mode always affects both, RX and TX at the same time, right? How easy would it be to change that for more flexible frontend setups when operating above the Pluto's 6GHZ limit?

cp: error writing '/dev/fb0' : no space left on device

Hello.
I have made the installation on a Raspberry pi 4 with the 7" Touchscreen Display.
The installation has been done correctly.
But when the "run" script is executed, I get the error: "cp: error writing '/dev/fb0': No space left on device".
Could you tell me how to solve the problem?
Greetings.
