4. Result is shorter than cursor and it doesn't move to the end

Should be 2 cursor states, ideal and nominal. Move nominal cursor to end in this case. Restore to ideal whenever possible. Make ideal nominal if changed relative to nominal.

Doing this, currently:

open `infer -p QUERY | head -1`

Doesn't seem ideal. It's late, though, and maybe I just didn't explore the usage enough.

Also probably makes sense to eliminate directories from the results to be opened unless all of the results are directories.

1. The raw URL is returning a 301 right now, so you need to add the -L flag to curl (and/or update the URL, if that makes sense)
2. The file isn't chmodded to be executable

Fix:

curl -L http://github.com/em/infer/raw/master/infer.rb -o /usr/local/bin/i && chmod +x !#:4

Not many people compile their own rubies. Even less use a suffix.
