As you use Development.Module in https://github.com/CSS-Electronics/mdf4-converters/blob/master/Python/CMakeLists.txt#L14

and according to
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/module/FindPython.html

your cmake minimum version should be 3.18 I guess.

At least on my Ubuntu 20.04 I have 3.16.3 and stumbled upon this problem.

Could you add support to convert mdf4 to parquet? as it is really important for people working with Spark.

I know asammdf has the ability to convert to parquet but sometimes it doesn't work, and it is nice to have second open-source alternative when asammdf stops working.

We just bought the CanEdge2 and are trying different file outputs. All of them seem to convert the time to an Unix timestamp.

If would be nice to have a command line argument to specify the date output or just change it to a somewhat readable format.

Found error with python version 3.9.13

FYI: v1.2.0 has a build issue that causes problems on some Linux systems. This will be resolved in the next update. In the meanwhile consider using v1.1.0.

Is there a converter to convert data back tk mdf4.
I am especially looking for .trc -> mdf4.

MDF4 file that has been finalized using mdffinalized.exe and contains extended ID data (e.g. J1939) cannot be run in offline mode in CANAlyzer.

Current State

The MDF4 converter is currently supporting Windows and Linux only.

Desired State

The MDF4 converter also works on macOS.

@MatinF, would you be able and willing to look into this?

I'd like to install your mdf4-converters toolset, but I cannot find a compatible version of mdf_iter, neither for linux amd64 or (preferable) for ARM. Also I can not find the sources mentioned in the Readme. Is there any way for you to provide those? Or could you say where I can find them? Thank you very much!

I m using Ubuntu 20.04 and I was trying to build the CSV project alone.
Following error I m getting when I do make.
