Hi @Ethanm-0371!
vector::push_back tries to make a copy of the element (GameObject) by calling the copy-constructor wich will call the copy-constructor for the unique_ptr (a deleted method because you can not copy a unique_ptr).

Best approach I can imagine is to use the move-constructor by using the std::move modifier https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/utility/move

Code will be similar like this: "vect.push_back(std::move(oldRef))" or "vect,oysh_back(GameObject(params...))".
You can also create the unique_ptr externally and pass it to the "add method"
auto uptr = make_unique<GameComponent>(params...) gameObject.AddComponent(std::move(uptr)); //or gameObject.AddComponent(std::make_unique<GameComponent>(params...));

from kingdom.
