Oracle setup for TLS 1.2 about entity HOT 4 CLOSED

Good news: Production databases were patched yesterday.

Bad news: We can't test TLS 1.2 against a site like SSL Labs, as we don't have firewall ACLs in place. Using openssl on one of our servers, I'm getting errors starting a listener. The version of netcat I have for Solaris is very old and doesn't support SSL.

I'll see what I can do about ensuring that we are able to open a TLS 1.2 connection, but even that is no guarantee that we'll be able to connect to OpenShift. Maybe I can write a Java listener before they turn off TLS 1.0 and 1.1.

The gateway protocol changes went in at 13:00, before I could test them. Everything looks good for TLS 1.2, except that there are certificate validation failures that require investigation.

Not sure how to file this - the TLS from Oracle is not working correctly. However, it is retrying and it eventually succeeds. We need to either fix the problem or rewrite the feeders. In the meantime we need to not forget about the problem.

Ok. Lets leave it here and I will label it as work stopped. Since Thor already re-wrote the namex feeder I think it makes sense to do the same with the solr feeder. I suspect if this our last real sprint if you are around during the holiday season you could probably re-write then.
