auto-exposure-control

Auto Exposure Control allows for software based exposure setting for ROS based cameras. It is assumed that there is a dynamic reconfigure server with a parameter called 'exposure_value'.

The code is based on the paper "Automatic Camera Exposure Control", N. Nourani-Vatani, J. Roberts

Understanding the AE Algorithm

Hi,
I am interested in your work.
I have no big experience in python but the code which has been drafted based on the mentioned paper has only exposure control implemented. If i have to maintain the banding due to the light source what are all the changes I would have to make? Also is the 'get exposure' returning values in ms? Have you tested the AE algorithm in a steady camera stream? in both in-door and out-door scenarios? Is there any tumbling effect caused due to this algorithm?
