Helper is not supported

In Visual studio Code, I get an error : The helper directive is not supported.
This refers to :

Is DNN 9 Theme install folder wrong?

Is DNN 9 Theme install folder wrong?
After the installation, the Skin was thrown into the folder /Portals/[PortalID]-System/Skins
Why is that? I remember it should be in /Portals/[PortalID]/Skins?
I am using DNN 09.09.0

"xxxx" showing on the bottom of the page

Not sure if this is caused by 2sxc or the theme, but when I mouse over bellow the menu (on the top of the content pane), a "xxxx" shows on the bottom of the page. The code in the image seems responsible.

Wrong version

In package.json and package-lock.json there's still mentioning of version "04.10.00". Can I just change this into "04.11.00"?

How can I add a drop down menu?

I'm not that much of an expert with Bootstrap but I've been using version 3 of the Instant theme and drop down menus seem to be working with that one, with this one they appear at the bottom, how can I change it?

Make the theme more n00b friendly

I've been using this theme for a while now, and a few things could be improved.

  1. Customizing. I know that "install this and that" seems pretty simple to tech guys. But for us "windows click and run" guys, such things create a mess to use. I remember that I installed node, then for webpack it was a mess (even following the guide steps). Get error => google error => fix error => get another error => repeat. This also requires to keep another couple apps installed on our pcs (I do not use them for anything else). Is there an alternative to these complex command line interfaces to compile SASS?

  2. Updating. As soon as you customize the code, it will be a mess to update. You need to manually check for the original code changes, then merge with your own. A simple note on the update package showing what files need to be updated (for example the template ascx or the config file for sass).

  3. Skin objects. Some basic skin objects are missing from the theme. Language and login are the most important ones. We can add it manually (there is some very basic information on this on DNN guides), but matching them to the theme is quite some work. It would be great if you could add these skin objects to the files and css them. If the users don't need them, just comment them out.

Thank you for your time.

Drop-downs in the Main Menu

I am new to DNN and am currently using your theme on a project. I have set up the pages to create a dropdown menu in the main menu which works on the default theme. When the BS4 Instant theme is used the drop-downs no longer appear.

Digging through the markup it does not appear the drop-down links are being printed to the page.

Does this theme support dropdown menus in the main menu? If yes, is there anything I should know?

Thanks

Invisible container does not get installed

If I install the theme on a 9.3.2. the container is not installed although it says so in the documentation.

Usage failed

Hi Daniel
I Installed bootstrap4 parallel to boostrap3-instant on dnn 9.2
I get
'Das Seitenlayout konnte nicht geladen werden: /Portals/_default/skins/bootstrap 4 instant/default.ascx. Fehler: Die ID DnnLogin wird bereits von einem anderen Steuerelement verwendet.'
I also uninstalled boostrap3-instant.
Thanks for help and greetings
Hajo

Outdated installation instructions

Hey!

I believe the installation instructions need some updating.
I just installed v04.10. and followed the instructions which left me hanging at customize and redesign:

Then run this from your skin folder: gulp

Since you switched to webpack, this results in [10:49:32] No gulpfile found. I guess it's supposed to be npm run build-prod.
Btw, is there a specific reason you removed webpack.dev.js and webpack.prod.js from v04.02.01?

Thank you for the great theme! Excellent job.

Bootstrap content not working with latest versions

I have a previous BS4 version with working bootstrap.
I'm trying the latest version and most BS functionalities do not work (modals, accordions, etc).
CSS looks fine, but accordions are always expanded and do not change when clicked, and modals are fixed in the html position.

Using DNN 9.4 and 9.6.
