In resent years, the integration of machine learning and optimization has been attracting increasing attention. In this presentation, I will introduce how to solve inventory management problems from the perspective of reinforcement learning. The formulation, solving methods of the newsvendor problem, the multi-period inventory problem will be discussed. In the second part, I will introduce surrogate-based optimization methods and an application of surrogate-based optimization in inventory management.

近年，機械学習と最適化の統合が注目されています．本講演の前半では，強化学習の観点から在庫管理問題の解決方法を紹介します．具体的には，新聞売り子問題や多期間在庫問題に対して，マルコフ決定プロセスとしての定式化とその解決方法について説明します．後半では，サロゲートモデルを用いた最適化手法を紹介し，在庫管理におけるサロゲートモデルによる最適化の応用例を紹介します．
