I'm against this. That would be a custom change. It's always been like this. You have to go to Shattrath for training.
I think a mage or warlock could help you get there, but not sure about that.

You cannot go to Shattrath for training at level 50 during the classic progression stages of this module.

Which is the only time you'd care about the level 49-55 rings which are made.

Which can only be learned at Shattrath after you've finished Naxx.

It's a custom change but it's more blizzlike/realistic to have the professions relevant at the right level.

alright, but then again. You picked jewelcrafting. It's a tbc skill.
it being available to you is already questionable.
You could argue that it's a custom change for jewelcrafting to be available, that your suggestion here adds to that.
That's fair. But I'm still against it.

ZhengPeiRu21 shares his thoughts about this here:

"I feel it is a better progression flow to allow leveling these professions during the regular progression path, rather than unlocking it later and requiring players to return to low-level content at a high level to progress them.
The default stat adjustments were designed with the bonuses from these professions in mind, so they do not disrupt game balance"

So maybe he will agree with you. It's a fair suggestion you're making.

I agree with Grimfeather's comments. I'd like to keep pre-Dark Portal Jewelcrafting as it was when first implemented in TBC. It has questionable utility in these early phases given the limited recipes and lack of gear with sockets. Having it available is more to allow the player to progress it at appropriate levels so that when they get to TBC they can immediately begin to take advantage of it without having to stop momentum and farm low-level content between Naxx 40 and TBC to go level it up.
