Obscure NAT knowledge
hiya,
Sorry if this is already accounted for. I skimmed through nat_flags.
Some NATs will appear to do port preservation. If a zerotier node sends from 9993, the NAT will map it to 9993.
BUT if a second node appears on the lan and sends from 9993, then the nat will start giving out random ports.
So, these NATs could trick you into thinking they are port-preserving if you only test once.
It's a hazy memory. But I'm pretty sure it's real.
