Cannot find watchdog.exe

Is there an existing issue for this?

I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

Continuous dialog boxes indicate an error about missing watchdog.exe. This happened after restarting the app when selecting Apple Music (preview). Unable to go back to settings, the only option is to uninstall the app. Windows 11 23H2.

No idea what is supposed to happen but I'm guessing not that.

Steps To Reproduce

Download the app from Microsoft store
Change to Apple Music (preview) under General settings

[AMR-7][BUG] High CPU Usage

Describe the bug

Application is using a ton of CPU on macOS.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Run the application
Open activity monitor, observe it using 80-90% of CPU.

Expected behavior

App should use next to no CPU.

Current Behavior

When launching the application, several error windows appear with the message :

Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\Mihoko'. Check that you've entered the correct name, then try again.

Expected Behavior

It should be able to open the folder: *C:\Users\Mihoko Okayami*

BUG | ARM64 Version damaged or broken

Current Behavior

The app does not work at all on my M1 Macbook Air. It just says its damaged or broken, downloading the x64 version does allow it to open but thats not ideal.

Expected Behavior

The app opens.

BUG | AMRPC installer damaged

Current Behavior

On Apple Silicon if you open AMRPC with the Arm64 version, you get the error "“AMRPC” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

Expected Behavior

I expect to use the app when using the Apple Silicon version on a Apple Silicon Mac.

Steps To Reproduce

On a Apple Silicon Mac
Download the arm64 version, it doesn't matter if its the dmg or the zip file, it does the same thing
Download it to the Applications folder
Open it

Even with watchdog.exe added, the RPC does not work.

Current Behavior

When I originally installed this extension on Windows, it kept spamming my computer's command prompt asking for a watchdog.exe file. I saw the file on your profile, so I installed it. Even with it installed, it no longer shows the message, but the RPC does not work at all.

Expected Behavior

The RPC should actually work.

BUG | AMR-88 | Timestamps disappear when song is on repeat

Whenever a song is on repeat, the timestamps in the discord rich presence will disappear as soon as it repeats for the first time.

Current Behavior

Cannot launch standalone or reboot when apple music (preview) is selected as service, it's searching for watchdog.exe and cannot find it
If I launch is manually (downloaded the zip from the other repo) it's working, btw I tried to manually create the path and copy the exe (and dll too) where the process is expecting it
It's just spamming this every 5 seconds (sorry the error is in italian language)

Can I give you need any other info you need?

Discord RPC seems working great with iTunes and also the album covers.
but when while program is running, cmd terminal window keeps spamming me

I checked the settings to see if it was on and I tried also to restart the app

You will see that the timestamp of the Rich Presence isn't synchronized with Apple Music

FEATURE REQUEST | Remote Control App

Do you guys think you could create a remote control app for Android (would also useful to control DACs) ?

I'm asking because, you're already getting metadata of what's currently playing which is the most important part.

I'm aware that library, queue access/management would be a huge headache, not worth if apple implements an "Apple Connect"

What I'm talking about is something on par with the Cider (an Apple music client)'s remote app:
Next song, previous song, volume control, metadata (cover art, artist, title), ideally also looping/randomize (would be harder im assuming)

This seems basic but it would go a very very long way imo.
