aws-react-golang-sam-codepipeline's Issues

UI environment variable REACT_APP_API_URL and update after deploying the code-pipeline.yaml stack

@zackproser - Firstly, thanks for making this repo available. I've found it really useful. My main feedback or point for clarification is regarding the variable REACT_APP_API_URL. I've found that I have had to do the following:

  1. Deploy the overall stacks (SAM followed by CodePipeline)
  2. Check the S3 bucket in the AWS Console where the React app is stored.
  3. Use the result from (2) to manually set the variable in .env.production.

Can you please confirm if these steps are necessary?

Secondly, I'm currently extending your stack to add support for a cognito user pool and add authentication. I'm happy to send any findings back to you if you're interested.
