a javascript tool to quickly generate sheets of unique alphanumeric identidfiers
This is a simple tool I designed to quickly generate unique alphanumeric identifiers. I use this at my place of work to generate unique codes to identify merchandise bundles. Simply navigate here to pull up a web page to print off the labels.
Note: This tool only guarantees uniqueness of codes per generation. Generating the page twice may create duplicates across both generations.
Add an option to generate a barcode under the label. Note that this would have the constraint that the label be all numbers, and the number 0 would have to be included in the set of characters as it is currently not in order to reduce confusion between "0" and "O".
Add a field to the form to allow the user to define a label character set to use. For example, if the user only wanted to use the characters A-F, they would put "ABCDEF" in the field and labels would use that character set.
