Hello folks,

Do you think it would be useful if I built a VS Code extension for git-todos?

I think it will provide all current CLI features in addition to:

• Markdown rendering for Todo's description when you show a todo item.
• Autocomplete when searching for ToDos
• Number of available ToDos item on the status bar
• Anything I missed?

And by the way, the extension will be completely written from scratch in JavaScript, it won't depend on the git-todos CLI, but rather compatible with.

Vanilla Ubuntu 20.04, snap install git-todos

Was able to create issues. Can mark them. An attempt to finish yields:

Failed to commit. Did you forget to stage your changes?
⚠ If you installed git-todos using snap (https://snapcraft.io) then you may
  need to tell git who you are!

  Run:
    git config --local user.email "[email protected]"
    git config --local user.name "Your Name"

I DID set those fields up locally from the previous experience. The values are in .git/config and the file is world-readable.

Any ideas?

Great tool !

The installation does not mention how git todos is able to find your tool. Its very neat but non obvious to someone like me who wants to be able to install/uninstall the tool without leaving any side effects :)
