Running in Django 1.5 results in:

'url' requires a non-empty first argument. The syntax changed in Django 1.5, see the docs.

On following the install procedure, I get:

Could you clarify the forking status of this project relative to https://github.com/richardbarran/django-jqchat and https://code.google.com/p/django-jqchat/ and git://github.com/tomscytale/django-jqchat.git#egg=django-jqch?

The credibility of the project requires understanding the forking.
The readme in this fork recommends installing from a fork other than this one, that no longer exists!
