Planet Earth, around which Universe Jehovah-3 is based.

Important Note: For people who are unfamiliar with GitHub, the Code tab above shows the source code I've added, the Issues tab has bug reports that people have submitted, and the Pull requests tab contains code and changes that others have suggested.

Please be sure to remove is:open from the search bar when looking at issues; this will allow you to see issues that I have either fixed or rejected.

Planet Earth

I, in My infinite wisdom, have decided to release the source code for Universe Jehovah-3, starting with its base planet, Earth.

I am still porting all of the files from My company server in Heaven; as this was initially a proprietary project, I've written some personal/business information in the comments that I must remove manually. As such, I would not recommend cloning this repository until this disclaimer is removed.

Why are the "mosquito" and "wasp" classes a thing?

These two subclasses of Insect serve no real purpose except to inhibit the goals of other Animals. They cause undue harm and, in the case of the latter, spread one of Earth's most deadly pathogens. There is no advantage to these creatures existing.

Multiple bugs in Human class.

The machine learning algorithm for Humans seems immensely flawed. There are a couple issues I've come across:

  • Human nature incentivizes narcissists (those with low moralAlignment/selflessness) to take on leadership roles; it also encourages others to place such people in these roles.
  • AI prioritizes competition over cooperation. Humans will work disproportionately harder to increase their own status than to assist others in doing the same.
  • Auto-generated souls are occasionally self-destructive. They may lead humans to take on self-defeating habits, or to desire (and in some cases cause) their own destruction. This is often to the dismay of other Humans.

Most of these traits are either uncommon or contextually harmless in other animals. Suggesting a rework of the Soul AI algorithm that better encompasses their more advanced "intelligence."

Overfitting issues with the AI?

The "Creativity" skill is supposed to let humans generate totally new assets that are added to the game, but a lot of the time you get a bunch of different ones that all come up with stuff that's super similar or exactly the same out of nowhere. This usually causes a huge fight within the playerbase. Since the AI behind the creation process is trained off of past products, do you think they could be related?

Also, as an aside, that process gives a null output with concerning frequency.

i beat someone in pvp

now they are dragging me off to a temporary holding dungeon, is this a bug or was I not in a pvp enabled zone

Doorway objects have unintended side effects

Interacting with doorway objects appears to have unintended side effects on the human class, causing the human in question to occasionally forget what they're doing. Usually occurs when retrieving objects from another room.

Falling asleep

For an instance of the Human object, the act of falling asleep seems to contain a bug. AI sometimes experiences a sense of "falling" when they are close to the first phase of the sleep cycle. A soft reboot often occurs as a result.

[Bug] Player dies even if the attacking object is small

I was playing the game normally one day and my character took damage out of nowhere. Now my character is having critical issues for some reason... Can we make the HP higher please? Or maybe put some kind of alarm system when the small object spawns?
