Is there a way to let a keybinding bubble if we don’t want to handle it?

Use case

I want to bind my task switcher plugin to Close (default: Alt + F4) in addition to the regular Alt + Tab, etc. so that if it’s pressed while I am switching between the icons, it will close the window that the current icon corresponds to.

However, if Alt + F4 is pressed while the task switcher is not open, I want the default system behaviour to take place. (If I simply return from my task manager, it consumes the event and it can no longer be used to close windows the regular way.)

Is there a way I can bubble/reset the binding if I don’t handle it so the default handler will run?
